The Evils of the Muslim Brotherhood

Egypt’s longtime banned Muslim Brotherhood—the parent organization of nearly every subsequent Islamist movement, including al-Qaeda—has just won the nation’s presidency, in the name of its candidate, Muhammad Morsi. That apathy reigns in the international community, when once such news would have been deemed devastating, is due to the successful efforts of subversive Muslim apologists in the West who portray the Brotherhood as “moderate Islamists”—forgetting that such a formulation is oxymoronic, since to be “Islamist,” to be a supporter of draconian Sharia, is by definition to be immoderate. Obama administration officials naturally took it a step further, portraying the Brotherhood as “largely secular” and “pluralistic.”

Back in the real world, evidence that the Brotherhood is just another hostile Islamist group bent on achieving world domination through any means possible is overwhelming. Here are just three examples that recently surfaced, all missed by the Western media, and all exposing the Brotherhood as hostile to “infidels” (non-Muslims) in general, hostile to the Christians in their midst (the Copts) in particular, and on record calling on Muslims to lie and cheat during elections to empower Sharia:

Anti-Infidel: At a major conference supporting Muhammad Morsi—standing on a platform with a big picture of Morsi smiling behind him and with any number of leading Brotherhood figures, including Khairat el-Shater, sitting alongside—a sheikh went on a harangue, quoting Koran 9:12, a jihadi favorite, to portray all those Egyptians who do not vote for Morsi—the other half of Egypt, the secularists and Copts who voted for Shafiq—as “resisters of the Sharia of Allah,” and “infidel leaders” whom true Muslims must “fight” and subjugate.

The video of this sheikh was shown on the talk show of Egyptian commentator Hala Sarhan, who proceeded to exclaim “This is unbelievable! How is this talk related to the campaign of Morsi?!” A guest on her show correctly elaborated: “Note his [the sheikh’s] use of the word ‘fight’—‘fight the infidel leaders’ [Koran 9:12]; this is open incitement to commit violence against anyone who disagrees with them…. How can such a radical sheikh speak such words, even as [Brotherhood leaders like] Khairat el-Shater just sits there?” Nor did the Brotherhood denounce or distance itself from this sheikh’s calls to jihad and takfir.

Anti-Christian: It is precisely because of these sporadic outbursts of anti-infidel rhetoric that it is not farfetched to believe that Morsi himself, as some maintain, earlier boasted that he would “achieve the Islamic conquest (fath) of Egypt for the second time [which he just did], and make all Christians convert to Islam, or else pay the jizya [which time will tell].”

Speaking of Christians, specifically the minority Copts of Egypt, in an article titled “The Muslim Brotherhood Asks Why Christians Fear Them?!” secularist writer Khaled Montasser, examining the Brotherhood’s own official documents and fatwas, shows exactly why. According to Montasser, in issue #56 of the Brotherhood journal “The Call [da’wa],” published in December 1980, prominent Brotherhood figure Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah al-Khatib decreed several anti-Christian measures, including the destruction of churches and the prevention of burying unclean Christian “infidels” anywhere near Muslim graves. Once again, this view was never retracted by the Brotherhood. As Montasser concludes, “After such fatwas, Dr. Morsi and his Brotherhood colleagues can ask and wonder—“Why are the Copts afraid?!”

Lying, Stealing, and Cheating to Victory: In a recent article titled “The Islamist Group’s Hidden Intentions,” appearing in Watani, author Youssef Sidhom exposes a document “which carries the logos of both the Muslim Brotherhood and its political arm, the Freedom and Justice Party.” Written by the Deputy to the Supreme Guide, Khairat el-Shater and addressed “to all the Brotherhood branches in the governorates,” the memo calls on Muslims to cheat, block votes, and “resort to any method that can change the vote” to ensure that Morsi wins, which, of course, he just did—amidst many accusations of electoral fraud. El-Shater concluded his memo by saying, “You must understand, brothers, that our interest lies wherever there is the Sharia of Allah, and this can only be by preserving the [MB] group and preserving Islam.”

In short, the Muslim Brotherhood has not changed; only Western opinion of it has. As it was since its founding in 1928, the group is committed to empowering and spreading Sharia law—a law that preaches hate for non-Muslim “infidels,” especially Islam’s historic nemesis, Christianity, and allows anything, from lying to cheating, to make Islam supreme. Now that the Brotherhood has finally achieved power, the world can prepare to see such aspects on a grand scale.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be the first foreign official to meet with newly elected Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, Egypt’s Al-Ahram news website is reporting.
The site is quoting officials at Cairo’s airport for the report. The State Department, however, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The Washington Post, citing an unnamed senior administration official, reported Tuesday that “U.S. officials hope to make a strong impression on Morsi, 60, during an upcoming visit by a senior administration official to Cairo.”

Bee's Note: Be sure to check out some of the comments on Zip's blog - very interesting. Can't wait to see how the Brotherhood receives Hillary. After all, the Brotherhood does not allow women in politics. Come to think of it, Hillary may be safer if she just steps off the plane wearing the hijab (photo). There is only one reason Hillary would be accepted by the Brotherhood leaders - 'CASH". As long as the United States continues to pour out suitcases filled with American taxpayers money, along with a few military tanks/planes, she might be "welcomed". ... In which a Congressional investigation is warranted.

When U.S. President Barack H. Obama Sunday phoned to personally congratulate Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood president-elect, Mohammed Mursi, he confirmed his view that its Cairo-based revolution represents a genuine "transition to democracy."

To many, that statement also confirmed the naïve fantasy world Obama instituted in the White House. In contrast, clear-sighted congressmen, statesmen, Egyptian liberals and activists, Islamic history scholars and more than a few journalists realized from day one that the January 2011, Tahrir Square demonstrations would end with MB achievement of their 84-year dream --- to reinstate sharia in Egypt --- and that after gobbling the presidency they deceitfully claimed not to seek, the MB would launch an open phase in their perennial effort to impose universal Islamic law through a new global caliphate.

Obama's Sunday call, in reality, may have confirmed something far worse --- his full devotion to revolution, in the classical sense --- i.e. full-blown popular overthrow of government. The president long followed guiding socialist "lights," like the late Saul Alinksy, and his childhood mentor and hardened communist Frank Marshall Davis, whom some now claim was Obama's "real father."

Has Obama now confessed --- or come as close as he will ever --- that his true sympathies lie both with full-blown revolution, and the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic supremacists, not with U.S. interests at all?

Perhaps. Given Obama administration efforts to squelch all investigations and prosecutions of Islamic radicals in the U.S., one must wonder.

In spring and summer 2010, I inquired officially under the Freedom of Information Act regarding governmental agency connections to the North American Muslim Brotherhood. I approached most major government arms, including all U.S. Treasury Department units, the Justice Department, Homeland Security, State Department, and Federal Reserve Board. In every instance, I reviewed specific agency requirements for FOIA requests and submitted queries accordingly.

Not one inquiry produced results, although plenty was to be had, even excluding items concerning national security. Most agencies claimed they had conducted the stipulated searches and could find no data. A few FOIA officers admitted they would withhold the requested data, and included with their responses instructions on how to appeal. I understood that only an army of attorneys could break the wall of silence.

The FBI reply, in particular, one could most politely describe as an extreme non sequitur. I had specifically requested "existing documents" on FBI meetings from 1/1/2007 through July 2010 with specific North American MB organizations and individuals, all of whom I named. The U.S. Department of Justice had previously specified most of these groups, moreover, as part of the Muslim Brotherhood, as had the latter's internal North American Muslim Brotherhood documents.

Intel Chief Puts National Security ‘Eggs’ in Basket Full of Holes

Recent headlines speak volumes about Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper Jr.’s broken approach to national security:

The common thread in these articles is that the nation’s top intelligence official is placing all of the nation’s national security “eggs” (a.k.a., “intelligence”) into a basket full of holes when he relies upon the polygraph as a defense against leaking national security secrets to the news media.

Clapper’s approach continues the federal government’s long-running love affair with the polygraph and casts a spotlight on the willingness of high-ranking government officials to ignore decades of criticism aimed at the interrogation technology. Sadly, that spotlight has been “on” so long that many have forgotten about its presence and need a few reminders.

On March 8, 1994, The New York Times published Ronald Kessler’s article, Spies, Lies, Averted Eyes, in which he reported on a then-current CIA director’s stance toward the polygraph:

The day after the arrest of the accused spy Aldrich H. Ames was announced, the Director of Central Intelligence, R. James Woolsey, met with several hundred C.I.A. employees in the agency’s auditorium at Langley, Va. After recounting what employees already knew from the news media, Mr. Woolsey — whose address was seen on closed-circuit television by every C.I.A. employee — spent five minutes explaining why he himself had refused to take a polygraph test, as other recent directors had done. Besides the fact that political appointees are not required to take such tests, Mr. Woolsey said he remained “skeptical” about the polygraph’s effectiveness.

On Dec. 10, 1995, the Times published another article — this one written by Tim Weiner — in which former CIA Director John Deutch, was quoted as saying his agency’s“reliance on the polygraph is truly insane.”

On Sept. 29, 1997, another big name — Dr. Drew Campbell Richardson, a supervisory special agent at the FBI crime laboratory — testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary Subcommittee on Administrative Oversight and the Courts on the topic of the polygraph. Among the bombshells Richardson dropped were the following:

1. It is completely without any theoretical foundation and has absolutely no validity. Although there is disagreement amongst scientists about the use of polygraph testing in criminal matters, there is almost universal agreement that polygraph screening is completely invalid and should be stopped. As one of my colleagues frequently says, the diagnostic value of this type of testing is no more than that of astrology or tea-leaf reading.

2. If this test had any validity (which it does not), both my own experience, and published scientific research has proven, that anyone can be taught to beat this type of polygraph exam in a few minutes.

3. Because of the nature of this type of examination, it would normally be expected to produce large numbers of false positive results (falsely accusing an examinee of lying about some issue). As a result of the great consequences of doing this with large numbers of law enforcement and intelligence community officers, the test has now been manipulated to reduce false positive results, but consequently has no power to detect deception in espionage and other national security matters. Thus, I believe that there is virtually no probability of catching a spy with the use of polygraph screening techniques. I think a careful examination of the Aldrich Ames case will reveal that any shortcomings in the use of the polygraph were not simply errors on the part of the polygraph examiners involved, and would not have been eliminated if FBI instead of CIA polygraphers had conducted these examinations. Instead I believe this is largely a reflection of the complete lack of validity of this methodology. To the extent that we place any confidence in the results of polygraph screening, and as a consequence shortchange traditional security vetting techniques, I think our national security is severely jeopardized.

4. Because of the theoretical considerations involving false positive results and because of anecdotal stories told to me by self-alleged victims of polygraph screening, I believe that the Bureau is routinely falsely accusing job applicants of drug usage or drug dealing. Not only is this result irreparably harming these individuals, but it is likely denying the Bureau access to qualified and capable employees. Although these individuals do not have an inalienable right to Federal Government employment, they do have an inalienable right to just treatment by their government.

5. I believe that claims of cost effectiveness, and the utility of polygraph screening are altogether wrong, reflect misplaced priorities, and lead to activities that are damaging to individuals and this country.

Some might read the examples above and conclude that they’re outdated and that the polygraph must have improved some during the past 15 years — and maybe it has — but it has not improved enough to convince some people — including law enforcement veterans, Army Green Berets, Navy SEALs and senior interrogation officials at the Guantanamo Bay Detention Facility — with whom I’ve communicated during my investigation of this topic.

The “Moderate” Muslim Brotherhood Conquers Egypt

The Muslim Brotherhood is the group from which all terrorist Islamic groups originated but they claim that they will be a moderate political government with some Sharia law.
It was not long ago when Rashad al-Bayumi, the Brotherhood’s second in command, said the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt must be canceled because it “offends the Arabs’ dignity and destroys the interests of Egypt and other Arab states.”

The Brotherhood said they would not seek the presidency of Egypt and we all know that changed quickly. Their candidate, who is now President, Mohammed Morsi, is allegedly anti-Israel and he is an Islamist.

The next video is from June 12th of this year, but it’s still relevant, especially since it came from a left wing cable station -

Left wing apologists in our government refuse to believe the truth about what is happening in Egypt and about what the Arab Spring has become. Why they ever thought it would result in Jeffersonian democracy, I can’t say.

John Kerry, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said we mustn’t engage in “prejudging” the Muslim Brotherhood.

“During my recent visits to Cairo, I’ve had two candid discussions with the new president. He’s acknowledged that the central issue to Egypt’s future is economic. His words suggest he understands the gravity of the challenges facing Egypt,” Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) said.

The media continually emphasizes Morsi’s U.S. education and the fact that two of his children were born in the U.S. and have citizenship by birth. So what?

Shafwat Hijazi, an Imam and TV preacher is one of Morsi’s representatives. In 2012, Safwat launched the Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohammad Morsi’s Campaign. In his speech to a crowd of hundreds of thousands of Egyptians, Safwat emphasized that Morsi will lead Egypt’s campaign to restore the “United States of the Arabs” with Jerusalem as its capital, and urged listeners to “awake Jews from their slumber” and to march as martyrs toward Jerusalem-

Hijazi said at a rally for Morsi, “We are seeing the dream of the Islamic Caliphate come true at the hands of Mohammed Morsi.” [Front page Magazine]

The White House congratulated Egypt’s president-elect Mohamed Morsi on his victory a few days ago, calling it a “milestone” in the country’s transition to democracy.[I wish someone would help B.H.Obama understand the meaning of democracy.]

Issa escalates: Accuses Obama of involvement in Fast and Furious

Rep. Darrell Issa threw down the gauntlet to President Obama in a letter to the president that accuses him of being involved in the Fast and Furious operation.

The Hill:

Issa took issue with Obama's assertion of executive privilege over a cache of documents at the Department of Justice - including a February 2011 letter later withdrawn by the agency - that Issa believes includes information on Holder's role in Fast and Furious.

"Either you or your most senior advisers were involved in managing Operation Fast and Furious and the fallout from it, including the false Feb. 4, 2011 letter provided by the attorney general to the committee," Issa wrote to Obama. "Or, you are asserting a presidential power that you know to be unjustified solely for the purpose of further obstructing a congressional investigation."

White House spokesman Eric Schultz defended Obama's assertion of executive privilege, saying that the move is legal and has long been supported by courts even if the president is not directly involved with the documents in question.

"Our position is consistent with executive-branch legal precedent for the past three decades spanning administrations of both parties, and dating back to President Reagan's Department of Justice," said Schultz in a statement.

"The courts have routinely considered deliberative process privilege claims and affirmed the right of the executive branch to invoke the privilege even when White House documents are not involved."

Issa on Sunday acknowledged in an interview with Fox host Chris Wallace that he has no evidence that would suggest a White House cover-up of the gun-tracking operation.

The House has scheduled a vote on the contempt charge for Thursday, the same day the Supreme Court is scheduled to deliver its decision on Obama's healthcare law. That virtually ensures the Holder vote will get less media attention, something that might be fine with many Republicans who want to focus the political debate on the economy. Conservatives within the GOP have been pressing for the action against Holder.

You can bet he has their attention now.

The February 4 letter is the key, of course. It contains the statement by DoJ that they did everything in their power to prevent gunwalking, despite that being demonstrably untrue. When Justice withdrew the letter later with little explanation, Issa began to concentrate on the coverup of DoJ -- and possibly White House -- knowledge of the affair.

It's always the cover up that gets them.

When Bob Woodward of The Washington Post was investigating Watergate in the 1970s, he had an informant nicknamed “Deep Throat.” He would later be identified as W. Mark Felt, the second-in-command at the FBI who famously advised him to “Follow the money.”

That is what David Horowitz and Jacob Laskin, the authors of “The New Leviathan”, have done---tracing the way major U.S. foundations, the creations of some of the nation’s most successful business leaders, conservatives all, have been taken over by liberal administrators and whose fortunes have been redirected to fund a vast matrix of organizations, many of whom are radical in nature, to “fundamentally transform” America.

It is the great irony and tragedy that the fortunes of John D. Rockefeller, Henry Ford, John H. Heinz and David Packard—assets totaling more than $100 billion—have been used to destroy capitalism and the free market while advancing the corrosive goals of environmentalism, the failure to address illegal immigration, the creation of Obamacare, our national security, and even efforts to steal presidential elections from voters.

This funding explains why an unknown U.S. Senator with a totally bogus life story is now the President of the United States. It is why our nation’s educational system has been destroyed by public sector teachers’ unions. It is why the global warming hoax continues to be promoted despite having been exposed. It is why the nation continues to struggle with illegal immigration. It is why Obamacare has been foisted on a nation when the majority rejected it.

The only way to understand how and why this has occurred is to read this extraordinary book whose content has been meticulously research and presented by a true patriot, David Horowitz, the bestselling author of several books in concert with Jacob Laskin, the managing editor of Front Page Magazine.

“With assets of over $100 billion, the largest concentration of money available for political purposes ever amassed, and more than ten times the size of its conservative counterpart,” the authors report on how it has “spawned a secondary network of 501c3 policy think tanks and advocacy groups that number in the thousands, and that, in areas of critical social and political import, can deploy resources that exceed those of their conservative rivals by as much as a hundred to one.”

This is the juggernaut against which conservatives must struggle. Supporting environmental, immigration, and other groups, this matrix of funding is a fifth column within America, working and spending to destroy it.

As the national elections loom in November, the authors note that “J. Christian Adams, an election lawyer who served in the Voting Rights Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, has documented how millions of dollars from leftist foundations have established a permanent infrastructure of left-wing litigators and law firms designed to alter election outcomes through policy advocacy and strategic litigation.” And you wonder why Democrats oppose the “Voter ID” program and the Obama Justice Department has demanded that Florida stop culling its registration records to eliminate dead voters, felons, and ineligible voters.

The role of public service unions, looting the treasuries of the states was seen in the virulent assaults in Wisconsin and, fortunately, the defeat of the recall election against a governor who stood up against them. The authors document how dependent on these unions the President was and is. It explains why Obama filled many cabinet posts with SEIU officials.

In a similar fashion, it explains why billions have been wasted on “clean energy” companies at the same time a war on coal (and oil) has been conducted by the Obama administration. With the wealth our natural resources could create, America’s manufacturing base, if given the protection it needs, could create thousands of new jobs, and could resuscitate the economy if only given the opportunity.

In so many ways the Left is waging a war on the entire nation to undermine its Constitution, its economy and its institutions. “The New Leviathan” documents who is funding this war and why America has a Marxist in the Oval Office.

The vote remains the last recourse to save the nation from the Left.

Many Americans Can’t Name Obama’s Religion

PRINCETON, NJ – Just 34% of Americans correctly say U.S. President Barack Obama is a Christian, while 44% say they don’t know Obama’s religion and 11% say he is a Muslim.

Obama is a Christian and has labeled himself as such as in his writings and interviews, and while living in Chicago he attended the Trinity United Church of Christ. Since moving into the White House, Obama has attended several different Christian churches.

Americans are indeed more likely to say Obama is a Christian — mostly a generic “Christian” or “Protestant” — than to say he identifies with any other religion. In addition to those who name a specific religion or don’t offer a guess, 8% say he does not have a religious affiliation.

Americans are more likely to know Mitt Romney’s religion than Obama’s religion, with most Americans correctly saying Romney is a Mormon and a smaller 33% saying they don’t know

My friend Grumpy's post about Obama's "questionable" religious background is a discussion being passed around group E-mails and other Conservative blogs. Since many have debated voting for a Mormon and accusing Romney of belonging to a "cult", it is only natural for folks to wonder about Obama's beliefs.

Why?

Because a man's convictions is also a part of a man's character. And, what a character Obama has turned out to be since he first moved into the White House. His on-going support for groups like the Muslim Brotherhood, apologies to the Islamic world for America, etc. have many Americans wondering what makes Obama "tick". What American President/patriot would bow to Saudi kings, support and promote Islam (over other religions practiced in America), openly mock the Scriptures of the Bible, gift a terrorist group (Hamas) with 900 MILLION DOLLARS shortly after taking Office, and during his term in Office fail to understand that by his actions to become the Apologist-in-Chief for Islam, his foreign policies and new-found "friends" in this world are not friends of the West and America, but the very enemies our troops have been fighting for over 10 years. He has deliberately undermined and insulted American allies during his propaganda speeches about Islam that make our blood run cold. He openly, by his own ideology (and agenda) caused our true allies concern and in the process, America has lost the trust of its dearest friends.

Would a Christian mock the very Bible they claim to trust for the truth? Hardly!

Years ago, people wondered if by voting for JFK, President Kennedy would be more loyal to the Pope than to the Constitution of the United States. During Kennedy's term in Office, before an assassin's bullet cut his life short,Kennedy proved his character and strong leadership skills during the Cuban incident. I was not a Kennedy fan, but in looking back at previous president's lives and actions, President Kennedy was an American Patriot and no one doubted his background as a Catholic. No one ever doubted former President Bush's belief as a Christian or his patriotism. These men were/are not perfect, but perfection was not what any human expects of another; when taking the Oath of Office, a promise to be perfect is not included in that oath. Here's the oath:

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defendthe Constitution of the United States.”

It is because of Obama's actions throughout his first term in Office that puzzles Americans. He has not fulfilled his Oath, by-passes both Congress and the Constitution whenever it suits him and therefore, must be removed from Office. Too late for Impeachment, so the voting booths this November will allow Americans to speak out and force Obama to leave our White House. Not that the Obama-Clinton administration needs another excuse to back the Muslim Brotherhood, but try this on for size. The mother of Huma Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the wife of former Congressman Anthony Weiner, is close friends with the wife of newly elected Egyptian President Mohammed Morsy.

One year ago, when Walid discovered the names of 63 leaders who make up the Muslim Sisterhood – which is essentially nothing more than the female version of the Brotherhood – we learned that Huma’s mother, Saleha, was one of those leaders. Little attention has been paid to the other 62 leaders, however. One of them is Najla Ali Mahmoud, the wife of Mursi. Both are members of the Guidance Bureau, which proves fallacious, the claim that Najla is just an innocent and naïve spouse.

This would make Huma’s mother a close, personal colleague of the wife of a virulently anti-Semitic racist who has officially been declared the first president-elect of post-Mubarak Egypt. Mursi also sat behind a Muslim cleric at a presidential campaign rally before the first round of elections, nodding in approval as the cleric enthusiastically informed the crowd that under Mursi, Jerusalem would become the new capital of the next Caliphate.

Hmmm.

‘Obama Truth Team’ Orders GoDaddy To Shut Down Website

Information deemed “maliciously harmful to government”

A political website that contained stinging criticism of the Obama administration and its handling of the Fast and Furious scandal was ordered to be shut down by the Obama campaign’s ‘Truth Team’, according to private investigator Douglas Hagmann, who was told by ISP GoDaddy his site contained information that was “maliciously harmful to individuals in the government.”

Hagmann, CEO of Hagmann Investigative Services, Inc., a private investigative agency serving a roster of Fortune 500 clients, was given 48 hours by GoDaddy to find a new home for his website before it was deleted.

Hagmann was told the reason for the shut down was because the website featured “morally objectionable” material. After GoDaddy refused to identify the complainant, only saying that it was not “any official government agency,” further investigation by Hagmann revealed that the order came from a group tied to Obama campaign headquarters.

Speaking with the chief investigator in the GoDaddy Abuse division, Hagmann discovered, “Ultimately it was found that the complaint originated ostensibly with a group associated with the campaign to re-elect Barack Hussein Obama.”

Turning to his contacts within government, Hagmann then spoke with another source who confirmed that the ‘Obama Truth Team’ was responsible for the shut down order.

“I’m laying this right on the doorstep of the Obama Truth Team,” said Hagmann.

The ‘Obama Truth Team’ is an outreach of the Obama 2012 re-election campaign that urges supporters to “help fight back against the attacks on President Obama and his record” by reporting supposed misrepresentations and lies. However, as ABC News reported, the ‘Truth Team’ has mischaracterized legitimate criticism as smears in an effort to chill dissent against Obama. It has also been caught fibbing on a number of other occasions.

The same methods of intimidation were also very much in force during the 2008 campaign season. Under the guise of the ‘Obama Truth Squad’, influential public figures in Missouriincluding St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, and Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, promised to “respond quickly, forcefully, and aggressively” to “lies” about Obama.

As ABC News highlighted, this helped to create a chilling atmosphere in which “Missourians might be afraid of being prosecuted for criticizing Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.”

This is by no means the first time political websites have been shut down on a whim with no due process after official pressure is brought to bear on ISPs.

In December 2010 Amazonresponded to pressure by Sen. Joe Lieberman and the Department of Homeland Security by axing the Wikileaks website from its servers.

GoDaddy itself is not renowned for its support for free speech. The company lost 37,000 accounts last year over its initial failure to oppose the controversial Stop Online Privacy Act (SOPA).

Despite the fact that his son was getting married on the same weekend, Hagmann was eventually able to move his website - HomelandSecurityus.com - to another server before it was deleted by GoDaddy.

“It took an incredible number of man hours and it was a tedious (and costly) process, but I have successfully moved my site out of reach,” Hagmann told us.

Hagmann noted that his story from last month about a DHS inside source warning of coming mass civil unrest, which went viral on the Internet, was one of the primary reasons behind the effort to shut down his website.

Hagmann is now warning that any independent website which forcefully dissents against the Obama administration could be targeted next.

“I respectfully ask that you spread the word – that the Obama “Truth Team” is out in full force, scouring any U.S. based web sites of any size or influence (yet small enough to be pushed around) that contains any information deemed “objectionable” to the Obama re-election campaign. Perhaps it’s already too late. Regardless, people need to wake up now and listen to what we’ve been saying. There might not be a tomorrow,” Hagmann told us in an email.
