What they don’t tell you is that it’s the ‘Islamic terrorist’ part played by Muslims who have been waging war against the United States since before Thomas Jefferson’s time.
(H/T ronyvo) The statement of the Tripoli ambassador to Adams and Jefferson: That “it was their (Muslim) right and duty as commanded by the quran and the prophet Muhammad to make war upon them (infidels) wherever they could be found and to make them slaves and subjugate them; and that every Muslim who chould be slain in battle was sure to go to paradise.”
To which George Washington replied: “Would to heaven we had a Navy able to reform those enemies of mankind (Muslims), or crush them into non-existence.” Jefferson was the one who finally did it….’to the shores of Tripoli.’ The first American war on Islamic terrorists. (But sadly, Jefferson didn’t finish the job)
The introduction to Thomas Jefferson’s copy of the Quran (notoriously used by Muslim Keith Ellison for his swearing in ceremony to Congress) says, “If you read this book, you will have nothing but contempt for Islamic law.” (Obviously Ellison does not)
