Americans Stand with Israel - A "new" look!

A "New Year" ... a "new" look!

I'm not a brilliant computer tech, and I have no idea how to place my own picture as a background for this blog.  However, I decided it was time to rid ourselves of Fall leaves and since Google Blogger does not offer me a background representing cold, snowy New England, I chose a soft tint of blues.  Don't know what that says about my "emotional" state of mind at this moment, but perhaps I'm wishing that all things were right with this world and harmony, for me, is looking up to the sky, thanking my Creator for all things, and the different shads of blue remind me of peace.
Never gave "colors" much thought, but I do know as soon as I finish painting a room in my home, I'm already thinking of new colors, or perhaps I'm just so tired of the paint, I second-guess myself and think I should have chosen a lighter tone of paint!

However, I will tell all of you one thing and that is, if Obama gets a "second" term, this blog will either go BLACK in color, or it just may blow up altogether!  I mean, if we think about it for a moment, the nightmare of having this Liar-in-chief hanging around our White House, golfing on the front lawn while the world goes to Hell in a hand basket is too much for me to comprehend!  Could it possibly happen?

I'll choose one issue that may have something to do with a turn of events for all of us.  Have you suddenly noticed that Iran has become one of this administration's concerns?  There are pundits saying "If he bombs Iran's nuclear plants, it's a sure win for Obama come November".   Really?

The front page news on any Google search within the last few weeks is the standoff of U.S. naval ships in the Gulf of Homez, while Iran threatens to shut it down, and puffs up its ego to threaten the United States.  Laughable, for sure, since the insane Iranian leader hasn't a clue what would happen if the U.S. actually responded to those threats (isn't that an act of war, by the way?).

And, let's not forget that while the U.S. and Israel hold training sessions with its military, at least once every two years, suddenly it is announced that the "biggest", the "largest" U.S. troops are arriving in Israel for their joint military missile drills, a word has popped up that was never used in the past - that word "deployment".  The U.S. will deploy troops to Israel until December!  That "deployment" goes beyond a one week drill between Israel's IDF and the U.S. military.

So, Debka and other blogs, perhaps wishfully thinking, are guessing whether or not the United States, with Israel, intends to bomb Iran.  Some even go so far as to suggest it would happen just before elections in November.  (Get the drift ...?  Does this sound like a political move for Obama?)

Obama missed a great opportunity to stand with Iranians, when they were being shot in the streets during their uprising of crooked elections a few years ago.  He decided to choose to stand with Iran's leaders and "not interfere" with Iran's politics.  Too bad for the Iranians and quite different then the uprising in Egypt, Libya, and now, even Syria ....

Israel has been warning about Iran for quite some time, but the Obama administration has been more concerned about Israelis building on their own land and giving up more to the Palestinians, than discussing with Israel the daily threats by Iran to "wipe Israel off the map".  So, has Obama's administration suddenly been hit with a lightening bolt?!  Did he suddenly see the connections between Iran and its friendship with our South American neighbors?

Israel is passing out gas masks to all its citizens.  Their citizens have been involved in their own "drills", timing how long it would take to get to a bomb shelter, and how quickly medical teams could respond to an attack.  Do you think Israel doesn't understand the costs of Iran obtaining a nuclear bomb, or that Iran's threats are not serious?!  Their IDF is ready, prepared, and awaiting a "green light" from its one true friend, the U.S. - think that green light will come from this administration?  The same administration that speaks with contempt towards Israel's leaders and mocks her publicly every chance it gets?  Do you honestly think this administration gives a damn about Israel?  For that matter, does it give a damn about America?!

Israel sure could use our support, but she asks for nothing more than a "green" light - a go ahead Israel, do what you do best!  Do what you found necessary when knocking out Iraq's capabilities to bomb Tel Aviv!  Protect your land, your people with our blessings! We'll back you up 100% and even if that is all it took to wake up the Islamic world to the fact that Israel's best friend was the United States, it would do much to stop the irritations going on today that speak of breaking peace accords between Israel and Egypt, etc.  It would put the Islamic world on notice that to mess with Israel would be messing with the U.S.

However, what we see now is simply another political maneuver by this administration, to raise the hopes of our ally Israel, while gaining ill-gotten support from American Israelis during a voting year.

Heaven help the United States and Israel, and all the free world, while we sit and watch Iran gaining strength to do exactly what she openly has said she would do once she has that little nuclear bomb.

and now, just to lighten things up a little, here's a little video that always makes me smile:
