Way to go Israel! The Game just changed!

Note:  On Sunday, April 28, 2013, the NY Times reports: "Israel Says It Is Not Seeking U.S. Intervention in Syria", despite intelligence assessments asserting that the government of President Bashar al-Assad recently used chemical weapons in the civil war gripping its country. - NY Times
And, further along in this same article:
"The questions of Syria, where more than 70,000 civilians have been killed, and of Iranian nuclear ambition hovered over much of the conference at which Mr. Steinitz spoke. Meir Dagan, a past head of Mossad, Israel’s spy agency, said he doubted that chemical weapons used in Syria, which he described as limited, had been authorized by Mr. Assad. Therefore, he said, he understood American caution about intervening."
On that same day, Sunday, April 28th, an Opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal, by John Bolton, in relation to the "red line" drawn by President Obama:
By JOHN BOLTONBarack Obama has often warned Syrian leader Bashar Assad about chemical weapons: Wielding them, the president has said, would cross a "red line" and be a "game changer" for U.S. policy, "with enormous consequences." His rhetoric has now crashed into reality. The administration is hedging on how confident it is regarding the evidence of Assad's transgressions. But with the president's own Defense Department and close allies like Israel and Britain already asserting that Syria has used chemical weapons, Mr. Obama's wiggle room is vanishing. (continue reading here)
However, the best report is revealed today, by Weasel Zippers.  While the US and President Obama are discussing "red lines" drawn in the sand, lo and behold, the job was done by the Israeli Air Force on Saturday, April 27th, at 6 AM.  The Israelis are not in the habit of discussing military operations - they act upon their intelligence before the world has gotten out of bed!  (The IAF did this in 1981 when they flew over King Husseins yacht during Osirak to take out Iraqi nukes.)

I have a feeling this will be the same reaction from Israel when they determine Iran has crossed their "red" lines.  - Bee Sting

Report: Israeli Jets Bombs Syrian Chemical Weapons Site Near Damascus…

Like I always say, Israel doesn’t mess around.

DAMASCUS, Syria, April 28 (UPI) — The Free Syrian Army says Israeli air force jets flew over President Bashar Assad’s palace and bombed a chemical weapons site near Damascus, Maariv reported.
The report said the Israeli jets entered Syria’s airspace close to 6 a.m Saturday and flew over Assad’s palace in Damascus and other security facilities before striking a chemical weapons compound near the city.
The Hebrew language daily said a Syrian army air defense battery positioned in the city fired at the Israeli jets that left Syria’s airspace unscathed. FSA rebels posted a video showing smoke rising up from the headquarters for chemical weapons. There were no reports of the extent of damage or casualties.
Neither Damascus or Jerusalem responded to the report.
In January, foreign media reported Israeli jets bombed a weapons convoy parked outside a military research institute near Damascus allegedly en route to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
