Bee's Note: The following two reports posted by Carl in Jerusalem fit together like a nicely knitted sweater. It reveals the true nature of Turkey's ambitions and they aren't much different than its other buddy, Iran. Certainly does make one wonder why Obama has been allowed to continue this farce about Turkey being a "friend" of the United States, doesn't it? Anyone wonder why this administration has been allowed for the past three plus years to befriend counties and its leaders that undermine the best interests of the U.S.? What a nightmare for America! I often wonder if the members of Congress have their lips sealed with glue until November's elections - 535 Rip Van Winkles!

Obama's BFF blocks Israel from attending NATO summit
Obama's got Israel's back again alright.
President Obama's best friend forever - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan - has vetoed Israeli attendance at a crucial NATO summit taking place in Chicago next month. Israel was one of seven non-NATO countries that has close relations with NATO that was originally invited to attend (Hat Tip: MFS - The Other News).

For the first time: First-hand account from Mavi Marmara
For the first time, this weekend, Yediot and YNet published the first-hand accounts of the IDF soldiers who were sent to neutralize Obama's BFF's terror vessel, the Mavi Marmara. Here's a small excerpt.
And the Turks want us to apologize to them? To hell with them!

“There will be no Israeli presence at the NATO meeting unless they issue a formal apology and pay compensation for the Turkish citizens their commandos killed in international waters” a senior Turkish official told the Daily News.Eventually, the United States, NATO and probably much of the West will have to choose between Israel and Turkey. Hopefully, Hussein Obama will be gone by then.
“There are demands from us for the removal of our veto, but this is out of question.”
“Those countries who wish to see normalization in ties between Turkey and Israel should advise Israel to apologize and to compensate the killing of Turks in international waters,” the official said.

Turkey’s blockage against Israel was brought to the table during the NATO foreign ministers’ meeting in Brussels on April 18, the Daily News learnt. Some ministers of the allied countries including the United States, France and Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen indirectly criticized Turkey for bringing its bilateral problems with Israel to the NATO platform. Some ministers went so far as to vow to veto the participation of Egypt, Mauritania, Algeria, Morocco and other partner countries in the activities of the Mediterranean Dialogue if Turkey continues to do so against Israel, something they called “a violation of NATO’s values.”

For the first time: First-hand account from Mavi Marmara
A few minutes earlier, safely hunched inside the IDF chopper transporting him and his comrades above the Mediterranean's dark waters, A. was convinced that he was heading to yet another routine operation: A civilian vessel carrying some peace activists. Maybe he'll encounter a few curses or some pushing and shoving; not something that a few bullets from his paintball gun won't resolve.Read the whole thing.
However, when A. and fellow Navy commandoes landed on the Mavi Marmara's deck, the above scenario shattered. And then, while sustaining the blows, A. felt a burning sensation piercing through his body. "At first, I didn't get it," he recounted this week for the first time. "I placed my hand on my stomach and didn't quite understand what was going on. Five seconds later I again placed my hand there, and felt my entire finger sinking in. All of that was happening while the terrorists were not letting go and fighting me."
And once you realized what hit you?
"I told myself: 'Damnit, I was hit by a live bullet.' I also got pissed off about it."
Nearby, A.'s comrade, Y., was also sustaining a severe beating. "My head was bruised and my left arm was hurt, because they pulverized it with their clubs," he recounted this week. "Then, at once, it happened. I switched my way of thinking – as they trained us to do – bent down to my calf, managed to pull out my handgun, and fired a bullet into the legs of each assailant."
And the Turks want us to apologize to them? To hell with them!
