French police are increasingly inclined to believe that the terrorist who murdered a rabbi and three children at a Toulouse school was assisted by his brother. On Saturday, police spokesman Christophe Crepin told reporters that Abdelkader is believed to have “furnished [means] and acted as an accomplice” in Mohammed Merah’s attacks.
The brother, 29-year-old Abdelkader Merah, has told police that he is “very proud” of his brother for murdering his victims. “I regret nothing for him and approve of what he did,” Abdelkader told investigators.
Abdelkader has denied involvement in the attacks. However, it was revealed Saturday that his laptop was near the Jewish school Mohammed Merah attacked at the time ofthe shooting.
In addition, media reported Saturday that Abdelkader had been arrested several years ago in France on suspicion of sending young Muslims from Toulouse to Iraq, where they joined terrorist training camps and then fought western troops in the country.
Mohammed Merah confessed to the shooting at the Otzar Hatorah school and to the murders of three French soldiers before his death Thursday in a shootout with police. He had also filmed some of his attacks.
However, his clear guilt in the killings did not answer many questions, such as how he was able to purchase weapons and rent a car to use in the murders. Merah had no clear source of income.
French intelligence chief Ange Mancini told media that forensic teams are likely to find new leads when they look at Merah’s many guns. “The weapons, too, will talk,” he said.

Incredible: US defends 'human rights council' record - by Israel Matzav

SUNDAY, MARCH 25, 2012

This is not a parody. After the United Nations 'human rights council' decided to send a 'fact-finding mission' to 'investigate' Israel's 'settlement policies,' the United States defended the council's record.
In a statement released by US State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland, the US said that the UNHRC had "helped spur action on a series of important human rights situations around the world, in part due to vigorous US engagement." The statement praised UNHRC action in Syria, Sri Lanka, Iran, North Korea, Burma, Libya and Yemen.
Nuland added that the US condemns the UNHRC's biased approach on Israel, which she said "continues to unnecessarily politicize the Council's human rights agenda."
How could the 'human rights council' possibly do a better job? /sarc

Has any Republican candidate committed to withdrawing the US from the council if he is elected? That would be a great way to put distance between the Republicans and Obama.

What could go wrong?

and, another report from ISRAEL MATZAV:
MARCH 24, 2012
LONG OVERDUE

J Post reported just before the Sabbath started that Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman is considering withdrawing Israel's ambassador to the United Nations' 'human rights council' (of which Israel is, of course, not a member). That's a move that's long overdue.
Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman said Friday that he was considering withdrawing the Israeli ambassador to the UN Human Rights Council and severing ties with the body, following its establishment of a fact-finding mission to probe the effects of settlements on Palestinian human rights.
Liberman added that he will convene a meeting in the foreign ministry to discuss the possibility that Israel will not cooperate with the council in their investigation.
During a meeting with President of Singapore Tony Tan Keng Yam, the foreign minster also said that he will try to persuade countries such as the United States to quit the council too.
There is no way we should be cooperating with the 'human rights council' in any way, shape or form. But the only chance of the US withdrawing is if Hussein Obama loses the election. What could go wrong?

Obama's Twitter Account: Despicable!

Bee's NOTE:  A small group of my friends get together daily to share ideas and monitor the  latest news on President Obama.
It is distressing to note that the President's  behavior is becoming so low-life, one has to wonder if he's had a mental breakdown.  The language he uses and his campaign advertisements demonstrate a deep lack of respect for the Office he holds, and I have to wonder if allowing photo-ops of his beer-drinking, hand-shaking, golf-playing makes him appear more like the average "common" man, when actually President Obama reminds me more of that cartoon character "Despicable Me".  For instance, one of my friends noted a report posted on The Blaze of Obama's official Twitter account to sell "BFD" healthcare T-shirts".  I had no idea what "BFD" represented until I read further it meant  “big f–king deal”.
How despicable!
I'll share my friend Tony's opinion:
President Obama actually tweeted “Health reform—still a BFD, and now it’s on a t-shirt”. Can you believe the person in the highest office of the land, the most powerful, respected office in the world, actually tweeted that? Obama sure knows how to lower the bar of respectability, doesn’t he? Is such a message befitting of the President of the United States of America, or is it more befitting of a classless, low life, buffoon? He is not worthy of the Presidency and does not deserve the respect or esteem associated with the highest office of the land. America deserves better.
Twitter should consider closing down Obama's account in order to protect President Obama (from himself) and any further embarrassments to the Office he represents.

I do have a suggestion for the GOP:  Make up a T-shirt with a photo of Obama's campaign bus and on the side of the bus, print "50 States - just 7 more to go!".  (He may need a military naval ship to get him to all 57 states).

Here's the report from The Blaze:

OBAMA CAMPAIGN SELLING ‘BFD’ HEALTH CARE T-SHIRTS

What do you think of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul?
According to his re-election campaign, it’s a “BFD.”
That’s the message on a new T-shirt for sale on Obama’s campaign site: “Health Reform — STILL a BFD.”
It refers to Vice President Joe Biden’s famous reference to the Affordable Care Act as a “big f–king deal” after Obama signed it into law two years ago.
“Stand with President Obama by reminding your friends and family that health care reform is still a BFD,” a description of the shirt says.
It’s selling for $30.
Obama’s official Twitter account promoted the T-shirt Friday night, though without the customary “-BO” tag to indicate the president actually wrote the tweet himself:
Obama Campaign Selling BFD Health Care T Shirts
The Obama campaign doesn’t have a perfect track record with its T-shirts: As The Blaze previously reported, some complained about an “O’Bama” St. Patrick’s Day-themed shirt that messed up the actual symbol of Ireland.

Western world is blind

Op-ed: Despite Muslim murderousness, West refrains from admitting Islam is the problem
Shaul Rosenfeld
Published: 03.24.12, 13:09 / Israel Opinion
YNET NEWS
Many in Israel and in the West have condemned the Toulouse murders and killer's monstrosity in recent days, and some even expanded the scope of denunciation to include Mohammed Mareh's jihadist sources of inspiration and the hotbeds of fundamentalist Islamic incitement. Yet still, almost everyone is staying away from pointing the finger at Islam as a whole, a religion that like an interminable production line gives rise to such phenomena, organizations and murderers.
These terror attacks, in Israel and abroad, are aimed at killing as many people as possible, at times while executing children; the Islamic terror industry knows no boundaries and cannot be satisfied. In 2010 alone, according to official figures, Islamic terror and violence slaughtered no fewer than 29,832 people. The actual numbers are likely much higher.
Yet in the West, which has turned double standards into a vocation and the rolling of one's eyes into an art form, people are looking helplessly at the numbers and horrors. Not only do they fail to even imagine that something in Muslim culture may encourage this horrifying violence, they focus on identifying the "real culprits": Western colonialism, Israeli occupation, American imperialism or Western support for corrupt, greedy Arab leaders.
And so, a terror endorser like Professor Tariq Ramadan from Oxford enjoys wonderful Western hospitality and is an honorable guest at almost any relevant academic forum in the West. Moazzam Begg, known as the Taliban's most well-known supporter in Britain, receives Amnesty's patronage, and Iqbal Sacranie is knighted after warmly endorsing Ayatollah Khomeini's religious edict against Salman Rushdie.
Meanwhile, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf became President Barack Obama's envoy to the Persian Gulf, even though he claimed that US policy contributed to the September 11 attacks and does not view Hamas as a terrorist organization.
Blame IsraelAt this time, almost any terror group on earth originates from the Muslim world, with some Muslims not shying away from executing children, in Itamar or Toulouse. Nonetheless, we see an amazing alliance flourishing between the finest members of Western and Israel's elites - which seemingly espouse equality, democracy, human rights, and women's and minority's rights - and the finest Islamic zealots, who crudely trample all of these values.
Given such atmosphere, it is only natural for an intellectual like Noam Chomsky to curry favor with well-renowned Lebanese humanist Hassan Nasrallah and slam Israel, or for an eminent feminist like Judith Butler to gleefully endorse a boycott of Israel. At the same time, she travels to the kingdom of freedom and progress in Ramallah and Jenin in order to share with local Arabs her insights on women's rights, while outside the lecture hall the subjects of her lecture walk around wearing veils, burqas or hijabs.
In the West and in Israel, there is nothing new about this hypocrisy or blindness. In the same spirit, Jean Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir were able to wholly deny the horrific acts of Stalin and Mao Zedong, even when evidence showing otherwise was piling up. When intellectual elites are the ones to distinguish the sons of light from the sons of darkness, leftist icon Sartre can become the flag bearer of the sons of light, while a man like Albert Camus, who dared to condemn the crimes of Soviet communism, is slammed as a son of darkness.
In this day and age, when anyone who praises the violent and repressive Islamic religion and culture is assured of dubious glory, we won't see a local Camus rising anytime soon. For the time being, we shall have to settle for the likes of David Grossman and Amos Oz, who will resort to holy literary fury in order to explain why blame lies almost entirely with the Jewish state, and not with our Muslim neighbors, heaven forbid.

Santorum: 4 More Years Of Obama Better Than Romney

NOTE:  I had decided last week that it was time the GOP candidates stepped back and faced reality, and then step aside and allow the front-runner Romney to do what needs to be done to demonstrate to the voters that for America to win, we must stand with and behind Romney.  Time to stop the in-house debates and begin presenting the issues that the Obama administration has forced down our throats and gain back the White House after almost 4 years of terror.  Yes, "Terror"!  Obama's free reign of by-passing Congress and the US Constitution is a nightmare America cannot afford to allow continue one more day than necessary.

This November's election is the most important election since the birth of our country - don't waste it!

What Santorum said about Romney is spiteful.  His words will forever haunt him, as his careless speech has just sent him off the radar of ever becoming President - at least this time around.  His off-the-cuff remarks are childish and maybe he should just go eat a can of worms and get over it!
Joshua Pundit's comments (below) express what many of us are thinking: "Santorum, put the country first, put aside your ego, and step aside"!

and I will add, that for America to survive, we will all need to "Plant our feet on higher ground".  Put aside our own personal daily trials, or ambitions and do what is best for future generations of America.

MARCH 23, 2012

Like I said previously, one of Rick Santorum's weaknesses is that he doesn't handle pressure well.

His latest, in response to a crushing loss in Illinois? That four more years of President Obama would be better than electing Mitt Romney.

“You win by giving people a choice. You win by giving people the opportunity to see a different vision for our country, not someone who’s just going to be a little different than the person in there. If you’re going to be a little different, we might as well stay with what we have instead of taking a risk with what may be the Etch A Sketch candidate of the future.”

Even Newt Gingrich did a double take on that one, tweeting, “Rick Santorum is dead wrong. Any GOP nominee will be better than Obama.”

The Etch A Sketch remark refers to an interview a Romney campaign aide gave on CNN where he made an unfortunate remark to the effect that “everything changes” for the fall campaign. “It’s almost like an Etch A Sketch. You can kind of shake it up and we start all over again.”

If youtake th eout of context remark to mean that all presidential candidates campaign towards the center once the primaries are over, it's the simple truth but poorly phrased, to say the least.

For Santorum to make statements like this is so far over the top its ridiculous. He obviously never heard of Ronald Reagan's 11th commandment.

For one thing, calling Mitt Romney 'just a little bit different' than President Obama is absolute lunacy, as is speculating that another four years like the ones we've just seen would be anything but disastrous for the country. For another, it's actually Rick Santorum who is a lot closer to President Obama..just from the other side of the spectrum. He's certainly not a conservative.

At this point, all but the diehards are urging him to think about quitting the race. I doubt he will, especially with the Louisiana primary coming up where Louisiana's Catholics can be expected to vote for him and he's favored to win.

Senator Santorum has proven on many levels that he's not ready for prime time. There's no way he can win, and the longer he stays in, the more he helps President Obama's effort for re-election. He needs to put the country ahead of his own ego and get out of the race.

Time to recycle Congress and send the UN Packing

GRUMPY OPINIONS
march 23, 2012

Some of you folks who posted on Florida Today will remember Cucchi-coo who later morphed into AlfredENueman- This morning he sent me an email titled it’s Time To Go Green Recycle Congress (below)

I generally do a quick check on emails like this, both to fact check and find out if there’s a verifiable author. Sometimes I find the email has some really interesting history behind it- sometimes they’re credited to the wrong person but completely valid otherwise. Sometimes they are more fiction then fact– Sometimes, very rarely, they understate, facts that support the position they’re intended to support…

This one has been in circulation for a a number of years

IS IT TIME TO GO GREEN – RECYCLE CONGRESS IN 2012?

Marine Who Criticized Obama Faces Discharge
Sgt. Gary Stein, who started a Facebook page called Armed Forces Tea Party, was informed by the Marines that he violated a Pentagon policy barring troops from political activities.

A Marine sergeant who made online comments vowing to stand up to the Constitution and criticizing President Barack Obama and his policies is facing dismissal from the Corps for his actions.
According to The Associated Press, Sgt. Gary Stein, who started a Facebook page called Armed Forces Tea Party, was informed by the Marines that he violated a Pentagon policy barring troops from political activities.
The nine-year Marine veteran said he started the page to encourage fellow service members to exercise their free speech rights. Stein was first cautioned by his superiors at Camp Pendleton in 2010, after he launched the Facebook page and criticized Obama’s healthcare overhaul. He volunteered to take down the page while he reviewed the rules at the request of his superiors. Upon determining that he was not in violation of the rules, Stein relaunched the page.Last week, in response to a post in which Stein said he would refuse to follow unlawful orders from the President, Stein’s superiors barred him from using social media sites on government computers.
The Marines say Stein failed to follow Pentagon directives that say military personnel in uniform cannot sponsor a political club; participate in any TV or radio program or group discussion that advocates for or against a political party, candidate or cause; or speak at any event promoting a political movement. Officers also are not allowed to use contemptuous words against senior officials, including the defense secretary or the President.
Stein said in a statement: “The allegations drummed up against me are no more than an agenda by the Marine Corps to use me as an example. I have never spoken on behalf of the Marine Corps or in uniform. I have stayed within guidelines DOD Directive 1344.10 and made sure to. If I am guilty of anything it would be that I am American, a freedom loving Conservative, hell bent on defending the constitution and preserving Americas greatness. I am no more the Leader of the Armed Forces Tea Party than any other of 18,000 members are. I just happen to be normal guy who started a facebook page and who hold the Tea Party values close my heart and believes the Tea Party can enact real change in this county. We are all leaders in the Tea Party!”

Obama to Bypass Congress & Give $1.5 Billion to Muslim Brotherhood

March 22, 2012
By Sara Noble

LET'S GIVE THEM $1.5 BILLION SO THEY CAN GET ADEQUATE WEAPONS
Obama will give $1.5 billion in military aide to Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood despite the fact that Congress has halted aide. He warned us that when Congress was not willing to act (agree with him), he would.

So where is Congress? Where is the media? I guess we can’t expect the Caliphate to prosper without some funds from the USA! And why does Obama think he can ignore Congress?

According to Breitbart/BigPeace, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will soon announce that President Obama will “resume funding for Egypt’s military, despite Congressional restrictions and objections from human rights and democracy advocates.”

The Brotherhood continually threatens Israel and we are going to give them $1.5 billion after cutting military aide to Israel?

Clinton Decides to Resume Military Aid to Egypt

U.S. Secretary of State Clinton to resume $1.3 billion in annual military aid to Egypt, suspended over human rights concerns.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will open the way to resuming $1.3 billion in annual military aid to Egypt,AFP reported on Thursday.
The funds had been suspended over human rights concerns, the reportnoted.
“Tomorrow, Secretary Clinton will certify that Egypt is meeting its obligations under its peace treaty with Israel,” AFP quoted a senior State Department official as having said in an email.
The move will free up $250 million in economic aid that had never been in serious question, the report said, noting Clinton would also waive requirements on whether Cairo is making progress towards democracy to allow for “the continued flow of foreign military financing to Egypt,” according to the official who asked to remain anonymous.
The official stressed that “on the democracy side, Egypt has made more progress in 16 months than in the last 60 years,” highlighting free and fair parliamentary elections as well as the transfer of legislative authority to the new people's assembly.
He added, however, “Yet Egypt's transition to democracy is not yet complete, and more work remains to protect universal rights and freedoms, and the role of NGOs and civil society.”
The annual military aid is cemented in Egypt's 1979 peace with Israel but had come under review recently, due to Cairo's crackdown on pro-democracy groups.
“These decisions reflect our overarching goal: to maintain our strategic partnership with an Egypt made stronger and more stable by a successful transition to democracy,” the State Department official added.
In December, Egyptian prosecutors stormed the offices of 17 pro-democracy nonprofit groups, including the U.S.-funded International Republican Institute, the National Democratic Institute and Freedom House.
In January, Egypt barred some U.S. members of the NGOs from leaving the country and a number of them took refuge at the US embassy. The country later allowed six American and seven other foreign NGO members to leave the country after they posted bail, even if the case remains unresolved.
Senator Patrick Leahy, who sponsored the legislation that tied conditions to aid, said Thursday he was “disappointed” by Clinton's decision.
“I know Secretary Clinton wants the democratic transition in Egypt to succeed, but by waiving the conditions we send a contradictory message,” Leahy was quoted by AFPas having said in a statement.
He added, “The Egyptian military should be defending fundamental freedoms and the rule of law, not harassing and arresting those who are working for democracy.”
Leahy said that Clinton should use the law to “release no more taxpayer funds than is demonstrably necessary, withholding the rest in the Treasury pending further progress in the transition to democracy.”

Here's a "News Flash" to Ms. Clinton: Egypt is not meeting its obligations with its citizens, Israel, and the United States.  It continues to kidnap and hold hostage American citizens, shuts down Embassies, murders Christians and burns down churches and EGYPT should be put on a "No fly Zone" list, warning all Americans not to visit Egypt or plan any mini-vacations until EGYPT stops all its human rights violations!  Until then, we are continuing to arm an enemy of the U.S.  How is funding EGYPT in the best interest of the United States and its ally Israel?
