September 10th: One day before America's "Day of Remembrance"

Hello World!  As you know if you are following this blog, America is preparing to honor all who died on September 11, 2001.  There are scheduled memorials throughout Washington, DC; and in New York City, at Ground Zero.  Twelve years have passed since that fateful day, but the pain hasn't eased for all the families who were touched by the loss of their loved ones.  If anything, it grows deeper with each passing year.

Which is why this year, more than other years, I have posted on the side bar numerous videos of the exact moments when the Towers were first hit; the phone calls from the people pleading for help from their offices within the Towers; as their voices are heard, it is like a window into the very souls of those who knew that within moments, they were going to die.

You, dear world, may consider tomorrow to be "just another day", but for Americans, it is a Day of Remembrance, a Memorial Day.  What began as a beautiful September morning, turned into a darkened sky filled with the smoke and ash of flames pouring out of the Twin Towers.  Those images will never be forgotten, nor erased from our hearts and minds.

Meanwhile, the clock hasn't stopped and the news of Syria is blasting, as the Obama Team hops on the airwaves discussing changes since yesterday relating to Syria.  McConnell Outlines His Opposition to Syria Resolution  Here's one of the best speeches given today, by U.S. Senator Republican leader, Mitch McConnell.

And, here's a few cartoons:

Cartoons are meant to be funny, or as in the case of "political" cartoons, meant to express a message from the majority: in this case, a very sad testimony to how this "president" has led America and the world into a fair amount of chaos.

Don't give up on us, dear World.  We haven't fallen so far that as Americans, we can't pick ourselves off, dust ourselves off, and start all over again.  We aren't covering ourselves with ash cloths and sitting in a fit of depression.  No, what you will witness tomorrow, on 9/11 is the true Spirit of the USA; one of compassion and dignity; one of respect and honor.

We embrace you, too, dear World.  Our love and support for each of our friends runs deep and for those who wish to destroy us, both here and abroad, we stand firm in our convictions that truth will forever be the cornerstone of the USA.  We fear no evil, we fight against it, as our brave troops have demonstrated since 9/11.  And, 9/11 did not destroy the United States of America; and neither will a guy named Barry, no matter how many poor choices he has made since he took Office.
