A top US official said that the prisoners were released under the condition that they will not engage in any violent activity and the benefit of releasing them is greater than the risk.

I guess after demanding Israel release PA terrorists from their prisons, Obama felt he should do the same, just so no one would call him a "hypocrite"! After all, Obama did say the "War on Terror is over".
