Life is a Bomb - by Sultan Knish

Monday, May 14, 2012

Good news for those of you who enjoy taking your shoes off in airports. Al-Qaeda's chief bombmaker, a cheerful fellow named Ibrahim Hassan al-Asiri, who sent his younger brother off on a suicide bombing mission with a bomb up his rectum, has been working on turning everything into a bomb. Cameras, printer cartridges and even pets.

The good news is that al-Asiri isn't very good at it. His bomb did a good job of killing his brother, but not much else. The original underwear bomb worn by the Christmas bomber didn't work out. The bad news is that with enough cannon fodder and enough attempts, sooner or later al-Asri or another college dropout will get it right. But even if he doesn't, the force multiplier of the threat alone will do the job.

All it took was one shoe bomber to get us to take off our shoes. A failed plan to blow up airliners with liquid explosives led to the liquid ban. In the age of underwear bombs we have naked scanners. What is going to happen when the next plot involves explosives embedded in a laptop or surgically implanted in a pet?

A bomb anywhere is a bomb everywhere. When the bombs are everywhere, then so are the security measures taken against them until life is one big bomb and one giant security measure.

We may sooner or later hunt down al-Asiri and blow him away, but taking out a twenty-something graduate of a Saudi university after a long manhunt at a cost of countless millions of dollars will not be some grand achievement. There are plenty of Saudi, Kuwaiti and Pakistani chemistry students who can step into his place.

We are not fighting a war against toothpaste, shoes or underwear. Nor against bombs. Bombs after all don't make themselves or detonate themselves. That's what people are for and until we come to grips with the people making and detonating the bombs, then we will live in a world of bombs, where every item, no matter how innocuous, is treated as a potential explosive device, and every person in line as a potential explosive weapon.

The formula for fighting a War on Terror without defining a vector for that terror has led to a state of terror, in which everyone is either terrified or terrorized. The official word is that anyone and everyone can be a terrorist, and even though they all seem to be Muslim, the official position is that this is a complete coincidence, a misunderstanding of the religion of peace or a result of our foreign policy.

To believe any of these things is to also believe that history is bunk. Al-Asiri's last name indicates that he comes from the Asir province, the heartland of fanaticism in Saudi Arabia. Asir means "difficult" in Arabic. Six of the 9/11 hijackers came from Asir and Bin Laden praised its tribes as "forming the lion's share". Asir had been a source of violence and Islamic fanaticism long before American foreign policy mattered to anyone one outside the hemisphere. The Asiri Wahhabis had fought the Ottoman Empire in Asir going back to the early 1800's and then they fought the House of Saud. With global access, Asiris are able to extend their wars deep into our territory. To launch attacks well beyond their desert home.

It's not the bomb on the planes that are the problem, it's the planes themselves and what they carry. It is the transportation links that relay Muslims out of their lands and into our own. Muslims term their lands the Dar-al-Islam and our lands, the Dar-al-Harb, the realm of the sword. But the irony is that it is Islamic lands which are the true realm of the sword, forever in conflict, Muslim fighting Muslim, while repressing and enslaving Jews, Christians, Hindus and any other minorities under Muslim rule.

The sword has given way to the bomb, though it is still used occasionally on hostages, and by importing Islam we have imported the way of the sword and the rule of the bomb. When the followers of the sword take the plane, then sooner or later they will bomb the plane or use the plane as a guided missile. There is no avoiding that.

The other meaning of "Asir" is prisoner. Without transportation, Muslims in Asir were imprisoned in their barren unwelcoming land. Given transportation we have all become their prisoners. Terrorist threats are enough to turn us into prisoners being herded into lines. While every courtesy is given to the Sons of Asir, lest we infuriate them further, the native population is imprisoned by regulations crafted to resist the attacks of an enemy whose name may not be spoken.

Rather than terrorizing the terrorists, our governments terrorize us. They make us into the prisoners of an endless terror while they appease the terrorists. By failing to define a clear enemy, we have all been made into the enemy.

The raid is as indigenous to Arabia as its sand. As Islam has become indigenous to America and Europe, the raid is becoming indigenous to Western nations as well, and no game of 'three monkeys' will change that. Islam spread by sword and terror, it survived by sword and terror, and it thrives by sword and terror. The body count of those slain by Muslim terrorists has translated directly into a quantum increase in Muslim political influence. The Mohammedan religion, once obscure, is now at the helm of foreign and domestic policy. Every aspect of government all the way up to NASA is tasked with winning its followers over and defusing the ticking time bomb of their violence.

When we finally hunt down Ibrahim al-Asiri somewhere in Yemen, which once laid claim to Asir and has a history of contending with the House of Saud, among the tribes who have feuds and grudges as old as the desert sands, we will be nowhere closer to winning the War on Terror. Not so long as we have our heads stuck in those same sands.

Demographics alone dictate that there will be more young men to replace al-Asiri than there will be to replace the American men going off to war against his cronies. And in a polygamous society, even upper class young Saudi men are not only replaceable, they are competition for the harems of the Bin Ladens, the elderly men trying to make their paradise on earth with the help of Viagra and wealth. Many of these young men will have university educations and ample encouragement to join the Jihad to carve out more territory for the Dar-al-Islam.

Some will emigrate to London or New York and carve out professional roles for themselves while participating in Muslim political groups to build their influence. Others will make bombs or blow them up. Either way they will be doing what young men in the Arabian Desert have always done, raiding to expand the territory of Islam, and the prestige of their families and tribes.

It's easy to snicker at the discrepancy of force between al-Asiri, embedding his bombs in underwear and a jet plane, but the bomb can bring down the jet. And the Sons of Asir can bring down the West. All it takes is enough time and effort, and so long as we give them money and an open door, the Muslim world will have plenty of both.

The latest conquests of Islam may take a century to complete, but if the demographic trends continue, then they will cover the territory from the warm coasts of Spain to the frozen depths of Russia. The raids will soften up the lands of the sword, cut away their people, intimidate their governments into making concessions and use brute numbers to swarm them and become the majority. It has happened for over a thousand years, long before American foreign policy was anything more than a dream, and it is happening now. All around us.

The demographic bomb is the most explosive of all the devices and it doesn't show up on even the most intrusive airport scanners. Arafat called the womb of the Arab woman his strongest weapon. The House of Saud liked to say that they had built their nation with a sword of steel and a sword of flesh. These two quotes explain the miserable state of the Muslim woman and the quiet ticking of the demographic clock, the bomb whose components are veiled women, trundling in groups behind a single man, the girls exploited by Muslim 'Asian' sex gangs and the rising number of female converts.

The biggest component of the bomb by far is still the jet plane, the passing shape that can either be a direct weapon or an indirect one. Before the 9/11 hijackers could hijack domestic flights, they had to obtain permission to arrive here on international ones. As the domestic population increases, the next wave of terrorists, men like Nidal Malik Hasan, Tariq Menhanna or Anwar Al-Awlaki, don't even need the planes.

When the number of Muslims proliferates, so does the number of bombs; the kind that al-Asiri makes and the kind that Arafat and the House of Saud made. The kind that blow up right away and the kind that tick slowly away from generation to generation, embedding themselves into a society, undermining it, chipping away at its roots, until it is time for them to go off. But whatever kind of bombs they are, when they go off they destroy our lives and our freedoms. And when there are enough Muslims around us, then life is a bomb.

Mother's Day
What a weekend!  First, I hope every Mother enjoyed a lovely weekend with their families.

Have you ever noticed that as time and the years slip away, holidays have a certain way of marking milestones in our lives?  When my mother was alive, all of us spent weeks preparing for that "special" day for Mama.  We were a fairly large family and while we each tried to make every day "Mother's Day", the actual holiday for mother's was a day when each of us wanted to make that day unique for Mama.  It was one day when all of us tried to put our love into action - a day when reservations were made far in advance to one of her favorite restaurants and because she loved flowers, her living room turned into a room filled with the fragrance of beautiful flowers.  What a display of colors!  Nothing we did for Mama could make up for all she did for each of us throughout her life, but it was one day in the year when we tried to demonstrate our appreciation for the woman who always had love unspeakable for all her children.  Her name was Corinne, but we called her "Mama".
Years have passed and Mama is no longer with us.  Now, my own children carry on the traditions of Mother's Day and I have to say that this year was one of the most memorable of days for me. (Which explains why I haven't posted all weekend!).  After almost six days of rain, the weekend began with the sun shinning brightly and the weather was warmer, so we were able to have a great cookout in the yard.  My granddaughter planted a peach tree in the yard (yes, I love trees!)' my daughter-in-law surprised me by doing a complete make-over of my bedroom and when we sat in the yard, watching a humming bird flutter around one of my hanging plants, I thought about the blessings of motherhood and I am truly blessed. (photo: humming bird in center of my hanging plant).

DISABILTIES
I use to work for an organization that advocated for persons with disabilities.  With the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, accommodations for people with disabilities has now allowed folks using wheel chairs (for the most part) to enter places of business, stores and restaurants that in years past were blocked by stairs and no ramps due to older buildings built long before anyone realized the importance of accessibility for everyone to social, political and economic life.
Now, one would think that accessibility would include not only an entrance way into a building, but also the service once inside and that brings me to yesterday afternoon's visit to a local restaurant in Concord, New Hampshire - a restaurant we won't be visiting again due to the inconsiderate service and lack of common sense of its employees.

BAD RESTAURANT
Yesterday was Mother's Day and as the children had celebrated with me on Saturday, I had made plans to meet family members at one of the few restaurants located in Concord that is noted for its fine dining.  Its appetizers, salads, soups, and main course, whether you prefer prime rib, roasted duck, or a lobster stew are all mouth-watering dishes, right down to the baked apples for dessert is served in a rustic building atmosphere.
However, when making reservations, the clerk did not inform me that because it was "Mother's Day", they would not be "serving" as usual, the dinner would be buffet.  I can hear you asking, "What's wrong with that if the food is delicious?"
Did I mentioned that the restaurant is "rustic" in appearance, which includes a flight of stairs that do not lead to heaven?  Of course, there is an elevator available to the second landing, but on Mother's Day, inside an over-booked restaurant, the elevator was extremely busy and difficult to maneuver, as the width was so narrow, it could barely accommodate the use of a wheel chair.
The dining area had been filled to capacity, with additional folding tables and narrow aisles in order to seat everyone, and that, too, made it difficult for anyone with a disability to approach their table.  Once seated, the waiter came to our table and announced that the dinner was "buffet" and we could go to the buffet table any time it suited us.  We asked where the table was located and were told "DOWN STAIRS".
SURPRISE!  SURPRISE!
My dinner party consisted of me, my son, my brother and his wife.  Of the four of us, two are disabled and it took us 15 minutes to find our way to the table.  Now, seated (with relief), we're told "the food is downstairs".  I looked over at the stairway and thought, "this is not going to happen!"  The long stairway and slow elevator separated us from the food, which now I no longer considered "fine" dining! Fine dining had just turned into a nightmare!
However, being adults, we did not have a temper tantrum.  My son and brother's wife quickly said, "No problem!  We'll go get the food" and off they went, down the stairs.  When they returned, they were carrying two hot dishes, as there were no trays available to carry the dishes and so, down the stairs they went again, to carry up their own plates.  Meanwhile, the waiter who had introduced himself to us when we were first seated, did not appear again until after an hour - our water glasses were empty throughout the dinner.  It took him 20 minutes to return with a pitcher of water.
Why should I complain?  After all, wasn't I in a nice restaurant, dining with family?  Count my blessings, someone will tell me and of course, when I approach this experience with that thought in mind, I would have to agree.
However, this is my point - one that restaurants should consider when claiming great "service" along with their "fine" dining.  Persons with disabilities do not do stairs!  And those without disabilities did not come to dine and do a marathon up and down stairs to carry hot dishes without trays back up those stairs.  Reservations would not have been made if the Reservation Clerk had informed me that it was "buffet" style for Mother's Day.

We are told that everyone is only one accident or illness away from becoming disabled.  Accessibility does not end when a disabled person enters a building, or in this case, a restaurant.  This restaurant wins prizes for its fine food, but I give it a low mark for its expectations of its patrons when it comes to "service".  Those stairs were not the "stairway to heaven"!

Israel: Deja vu all over again?

ISRAEL MATZAV
by Carl in Jerusalem

I don't know how many of you thought about this when you heard about the national unity government, but I will guarantee you that every Israeli thought about it. "It" was the 1967 Six-Day War. Charles Krauthammer explains.
Forty-five years later, in the middle of the night of May 7-8, 2012, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shocked his country by bringing the main opposition party, Kadima, into a national unity government. Shocking because just hours earlier, the Knesset was expediting a bill to call early elections in September.

Why did the high-flying Netanyahu call off elections he was sure to win?

Because for Israelis today, it is May ’67. The dread is not quite as acute: The mood is not despair, just foreboding. Time is running out, but not quite as fast. War is not four days away, but it looms. Israelis today face the greatest threat to their existence — nuclear weapons in the hands of apocalyptic mullahs publicly pledged to Israel’s annihilation — since May ’67. The world is again telling Israelis to do nothing as it looks for a way out. But if such a way is not found — as in ’67 — Israelis know that they will once again have to defend themselves, by themselves.

Such a fateful decision demands a national consensus. By creating the largest coalition in nearly three decades, Netanyahu is establishing the political premise for a preemptive strike, should it come to that. The new government commands an astonishing 94 Knesset seats out of 120, described by one Israeli columnist as a “hundred tons of solid concrete.”

So much for the recent media hype about some great domestic resistance to Netanyahu’s hard line on Iran. Two notable retired intelligence figures were widely covered here for coming out against him. Little noted was that one had been passed over by Netanyahu to be the head of Mossad, while the other had been fired by Netanyahu as Mossad chief (hence the job opening). For centrist Kadima (it pulled Israel out of Gaza) to join a Likud-led coalition whose defense minister is a former Labor prime minister (who once offered half of Jerusalem to Yasser Arafat) is the very definition of national unity — and refutes the popular “Israel is divided” meme. “Everyone is saying the same thing,” explained one Knesset member, “though there may be a difference of tone.”
Read the whole thing.

Fayyad: Please send money or else

Bee's Note:
Oh no!  The Arab nations are not supporting the Palestinian Authority (using the term "authority" lightly!),  Now, why do you suppose  the United States, the EU, and UN aren't able to keep those Palestinians afloat?  The Palestinian Authority (include Hamas/Gaza in that tight-knit group), since it's been over a year ago when the PA's joined up with Hamas leadership, can't find the same "compassion" from their own "brothers".  Plant some bleeding hearts, please, among the weeds of deception in Fayyad's garden.
One can only hope Obama is not reading this teary-eyed plea from Fayyad!  If he is, Americans can expect another announcement from Obama and Hillary that Americans should understand the importance of dishing out more MILLIONS to the "poor" Palestinians, as it is in the "best" interests of the United States security, etc. etc. and etc.
I think I understand why this administration's focus is on aiding the PA's more than the Arabs.  It has to do with how much money the U.S. has invested in supporting an organization that can't seem to take care of themselves after years of "hand-outs" from the world.  The PA's (formerly the PLO's) haven't learned how to budget the BILLIONS they receive; or, learn how to put that money to better use than educating their children to hate; or using that "gifted" money to bomb Israel; or, to line the pockets of the PA's/Hamas leaders.
One thing for sure, the PA's have not learned or taught their people in all the years they have had their hands out to be productive and contribute to their own society. Apparently, they or some are living beyond their means and that is expected when people live off the hard work of others. They are the biggest Welfare organization in the world!  Lazy, unproductive, irresponsible beggars.  After all, as long as the PA's are claiming "poor-mouth", the Arabs can use them as a propaganda item in order to gain the sympathy of the world to blame Israel for their false plight.(Sadly, that seems to work every time the PA's beg for more money.)  And to think, they actually believe they deserve "statehood" when the Arab nations won't give them a room for a night or a dime for a loaf of bread.  The Arabs can refuse to aid the PA's because to-date, the world has been willing to do what the Arabs refuse to do - support their Muslim brothers and sisters.
How many more generations will this old world be expected to support this organization?  It's past time we all reviewed U.S. aid to the PA's and perhaps turned that responsibility over to the Arabs.

'Palestinian' Prime Minister Salam Fayyad is once again schnorring for money.
Given the task of building institutions in readiness for statehood, Fayyad said his job was being imperiled by a lack of resources, with Arab nations failing to hand over promised aid.

"There is an issue of survivability of the Palestinian Authority given the acute financial crisis we are going through," he said, adding his government needed a "few hundred million dollars" to keep afloat.

The Palestinian Authority -- which exercises limited self-rule in the West Bank -- depends on donor aid from the United States, the European Union and Arab states to pay the salaries of public workers, including teachers and security personnel.

The Palestinians had planned for foreign aid of about $1.1 billion in 2011, but received just under $750 million and are lagging again in donations this year. No reason has been given for the failure of some Arab allies to honor their pledges.
Boo. Hoo. Maybe the Arab countries are finally getting sick of supporting the bloated and unproductive 'Palestinian' bureaucracy. Maybe they should go to work.

Bibi the Survivor - By Sultan Knish

Tuesday, May 08, 2012

Thirteen years after he was sent packing by Bill Clinton's political consultants and a phony third party, Bibi Netanyahu has become a political survivor. The awkward politician constantly under siege by the media and at the mercy of domestic political squabbling, has become a veteran of Israel's turbulent politics.

Netanyahu owes most of his success to a dysfunctional political climate. in which there is no one left to replace him. The old generation of leaders is gone and even a notoriously fickle Israeli electorate would not trust most of his rivals to make them dinner, let alone run a country. Displaced by Sharon, he learned the game of coalitions from him and has ably exploited the rivalries and petty careerism of the Knesset lineup to stay in office. With Barak by his side and Peres shaking hands with foreign dignitaries, the transformation is almost complete.

Netanyahu's electability allows him to exploit the less electable, flipping through ministers and coalition partners like a game of cards. A deeply divided and thoroughly corrupt Knesset has no shortage of partners willing to dance with him for a ministry and the perks of power. With no one positioned to take down Netanyahu, his is the only game in town and everyone knows it.

Before Sharon, two conservative Israeli Prime Ministers were forced out by American pressure over the peace process. One of those men was Netanyahu. Since Begin met Carter, there has never been a relationship as bad as the one between Netanyahu and Obama. If Clinton wanted Netanyahu gone, Obama wants him gone on a rail. And that makes Netanyahu's position dangerously precarious because in any election or coalition deal, Washington D.C. is the shadow player.

But Livni's appeals to Obama suggesting that she would make all the deals that Netanyahu would not, did not help. Instead she was shouldered aside by Shaul Mofaz who has brought Kadima, with its sizable Knesset presence, into the coalition with Netanyahu. There is little doubt that Mofaz, like anyone who jumped ship for the trumped up Kadima Party, would sell out the country and his own mother at a signal from Obama.

This brand of insanity makes Israeli politics a high-wire act where there is no stability and no future, and Bibi has learned to walk the tightrope. Whether he has learned to enjoy it is another story.

Outsiders may imagine that Israeli politics involves long discussions about terrorism, and depending on their political views, extended sessions on how to make Palestinian Arab children cry or how to win a stunning victory over terror. Neither is really true. Like most countries, Israeli politics are domestic. They involve things that hardly anyone on the outside cares about, even when poison pen correspondents like Karl Vick and Jodi Rudoren try to explain toTime Magazine and New York Times readers how this development once again reaffirms Israel's status as the liberal devil.

Israeli politics, like everyone's politics, is mainly about dividing the government pie among all the interest groups who want a piece; it is about politicians advocating programs that won't pass in order to score points with a constituency; and it is about interest groups denouncing each other for taking too much of the pie and using it the wrong way. And, most of all, it's about people who have few skills and many contacts, who have managed to get themselves into the Knesset and will make any deal and do any dirty deed to stay there.

If a preemptive strike on Iran's nuclear program does take place, it will have very little to do with the politics of the moment, which focuses on such glamorous issues as political access, government money, the draft and deciding whom to blame for the destruction of the country. It will happen just as quietly and quickly as the coalition deal with Kadima did. A stealth attack in a loud political process.

Unlike the American and European left which oppose an Israeli strike on the Iranian nuclear program because they oppose Israel's continued existence, the majority of the Israeli political establishment knows that Iran's nuclear program needs to be stopped. What they are opposed to is Netanyahu getting the credit for stopping it. Bringing Mofaz into the tent will allow him to share in the credit, but will redouble the opposition from outside the coalition and from rivals inside it as well.

It will also give Netanyahu a little breathing room in the latest round of the secular-religious conflict by bringing in a partner which cannot afford to alienate either side if it wants to one day run the country, while making his government less dependent on the quarreling parties. It's a formula for gridlock on a partisan issue that has no possible resolution anyway.

But all that leaves one question unanswered. What is Netanyahu really planning to do? To Americans he may seem like a natural leader, but to the Israeli right, he's Mitt Romney, a smooth-talker with few principles and many concessions. And yet Netanyahu is not an empty vessel filled with careerism and corruption, like Ehud Olmert or Shaul Mofaz. There is the appearance of a decent man inside all the politics, but his policies for the most part have been defined by the politics.

The Bibi who allowed himself to be bullied by Clinton at Wye appeared to stand up to Obama in D.C., but policy-wise, he does not seem to have fundamentally changed from that man. American foreign policy hands are banking on Netanyahu playing the "Nixon goes to China" role and making the concessions on Jerusalem that no left-wing politician would. And that is an impression that he needs to cultivate to keep from being forced out of office. But what is the truth behind all the games?

That's a question which unfortunately cannot be answered. Admiring Netanyahu's political maneuvers is a dangerous game. His predecessor in the Likud Party, who played it better than he did, was a war hero and tough-talker from the right who proved to be one of the worst disasters after the other war hero and tough-talker from the left. Sharon and Rabin rammed through disastrous policies at the expense of the country.  It would not be unprecedented for Netanyahu to do the same thing.

Netanyahu is a different breed of political animal. His only policy in two governments has been the waiting game. Last time around he was forced out before the waiting game expired. It's an open question of whether this time the waiting game is leading up to something or whether he's still playing just to stay in the game.

In a different country, Netanyahu would be admired as the man who led Israel through economic turmoil and privatization to prosperity. But Israel's most pressing problems are not economic and thanks to Rabin and Peres, it does not have the leisure to turn itself into Hong Kong or Singapore at its own pace.

The conservative politician of the current period is above all else a good manager. Not glamorous, even a touch dorky, but good with numbers and reminds the electorate of their uncle or nephew. He may be fairly liberal, but he gives the impression of being solid and reliable. Perhaps not fully trustworthy, but competent at whatever it is he does.

Netanyahu was ahead of the curve, ahead of Prime Minister Cameron in the UK or Mitt Romney in the US, as the template for this type of politician. It's no wonder that Netanyahu gets along well with Romney, they are somewhat similar, the pragmatic sons of strong-willed fathers trying to find their own place in the world. They are instinctively moderate and good managers; but lacking in passion.

In a conflict they take the path of least resistance. In Israel the path of least resistance means bowing to international pressure, making more concessions, handing over Jerusalem and ignoring Iran. If Netanyahu does this, then he will likely seal Israel's fate and will become one of the last prime ministers of the State of Israel.

Netanyahu's political maneuverings show that he is a political survivor, the great unknown is whether his principles have also survived. And whether Israel will survive him.

I’m Bin Laden and I Approve This Message

Posted by  Bio ↓ on May 9th, 2012 - FRONT PAGE MAGAZINE

As if SEAL Team Six’s successful elimination ofOsama bin Laden weren’t a big enough score, the raid on his compound in Abbottabad also yielded captured documents for analysis by experts in the Intelligence Community. These communications between bin Laden and his lieutenants have so far led to interesting revelations about al Qaeda, such as the jihadist organization’s perceptions about exploiting Western media to promote its propaganda to the public.
The Combating Terrorism Center at West Point released a memorandum to the public last Thursday which summarizes and analyzes seventeen of the seized, translated documents. Among them were letters in which bin Laden expressed concern about al Qaeda’s deteriorating public image, particularly among other Muslims, which he desperately sought to rectify by enlisting the aid of the media.
Having a focused, coherent media strategy was critical for bin Laden. Like all of America’s enemies who can’t compete with us on the battlefield, he understood that winning the media campaign is just as critical to victory than military campaigns – possibly more so. “The issue of Jihadi media,” wrote bin Laden in a letter dated October 20, 2010 among the Abbottabad papers, “is a main piece of the war.”

Part of that campaign was to trumpet in the media the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 atrocity (referred to in the documents as the “Manhattan battle”), an anniversary the SEALs didn’t let him live to celebrate. He had hoped to extract great propaganda benefit from it. “This is a chance to explain our motives for continuing the war,” he wrote:
We need to benefit from this event and get our messages to the Muslims and celebrate the victory that they achieved. We need to restore their confidence in their nation and motivate them. We should also present our just cause to the world, especially to the European people.
Bin Laden suggested contacting Al-Jazeera for their cooperation, and also pondered the merits of U.S. television news networks:
We should also look for an American channel that can be close to being unbiased, such as CBS, or other channel that has political motives that make it interested in broadcasting the point of view of al-Mujahidin. Then, we can send to the channel the material that we want the Americans to see.
In addition to feeling out Al-Jazeera, bin Laden wanted to contact internationally known British journalist Robert Fisk of the Independent (an American foreign policy critic who had actually interviewed bin Laden three times in the mid-90s) and other reporters to emphasize the message to the Western powers that perhaps the energy spent pursuing al Qaeda would be better directed by addressing climate change. Yes, climate change.
In a letter that dates from January 2011 or later, its recipient unknown, California-born al Qaeda spokesman Adam Gadahn shared his thoughts on bin Laden’s request for a media strategy to mark the 9/11 anniversary. He too mentions sending “special media material” on the date to a number of print journalists around the world, including Fisk. The intent was to win infidel hearts and minds by showing “the fairness of our case to the whole world and the European peoples in particular.”

The planned re-election of Obama, revolutionary style

Obama administration, including his czars and his closest Progressive supporters, are planning a manufactured insurgency against America. Using the media to garner both sympathy and support for his unfinished goals

The Contact

It was not the proverbial 3:00 a.m. phone call, but close enough. And it was not made to the White House, but to my house, which is not white, nor is it in DC. It was about 2:30 a.m. on 25 April 2012, and the call itself was somewhat unexpected. I had anticipated the telephone call from my DHS insider much earlier the previous day, but our schedules didn’t synch up. I was traveling on an investigative assignment, while my source was in meetings all day. I had just fallen asleep, and was slumbering no more than 20 minutes when the phone rang.

In most households, a ringing phone at that time of night causes concern for everyone who hears it. In my household, it seems to surprise only my surly, 140 pound light-sleeping German Shepherd. He let out an objective grunt as I stepped over him to take the call in another room. It was “Rosebud,” the code name given my insider source.

About Rosebud

Just a little bit here about my source and his “super-secret code name.” I’ve known this government insider since 1979, when he first became a municipal patrol officer. He took a job in a bigger city and had a very successful run as a cop. Before retirement and after the events of 9/11, he was tapped by the feds, where he worked in various capacities under the umbrella of DHS. He worked his way up, and suddenly found himself in what he terms the inner sanctum of the “TEC” building. TEC, he explains, is an acronym for what he calls “The Estrogen Challenged,” which houses the upper echelon of the Department of Homeland Security. I’ll leave it at that.

As far as his code name, it originates from an incident that occurred at the end of the disco era. It is something that we both privately laugh about, but rarely ever talk about. His “code name” is known to him, me, and at the time, a young woman who has since vanished amid the glitter of disco balls and constant replays of the Bee Gees in a dark nightclub some 32 years ago, and has no “cloak and dagger” origins.
But he is real, his position serious, and his knowledge vast. Unfortunately, that’s what makes the whole situation frightening and deadly serious.

The information

It began on Wednesday, 2 May 2012 with a 45-minute interview on TruNews with Rick Wiles when I first disclosed the information I received the previous week from my source. The information I relayed “went viral,” as they say, across the internet.
To support the statements I made during that interview, I am showing my handwritten notes taken contemporaneously during our conversation. My notes consist of two pages and are, at various points,  admittedly difficult to decipher. I ask that points not be deducted for my penmanship given the time of the morning which they were taken.
According to my source, there is talk among the highest levels of the uppermost echelon of the Department of Homeland Security, which he describes as effectively under the control of Barack Hussein Obama. During this call, he said that the DHS is actively preparing for massive social unrest inside the United States. He then corrected himself, stating that “a civil war” is the more appropriate term. Certain elements of the government are not only expecting and preparing for it, they are actually facilitating it,” stated my source.
“The DHS takes their marching orders from the Obama administration, from Obama himself, but mostly from his un-appointed czars. And Jarrett, especially Valerie Jarrett. Don’t think for a minute that the administration is doing anything to stabilize events in the U.S. They are revolutionaries, and revolutionaries thrive on chaos,” he added.
My source stated that he has not seen things this bad since he began working within DHS. “It’s like they [DHS agency heads] don’t care about what the American people see or feel about what the DHS agencies are doing. They figure that if the average American will put up with being “sexually groped and nuked” just to fly, they’ll accept almost anything. “That’s why their actions are becoming more overt.  “It’s in your face and the brass actually chuckle about it” said my source.

New Information

Astounded by the information my source provided “going viral,” I spoke to him again early Sunday morning. This was a scheduled telephone call (as noted on page 2 of my notes) based on a high level meeting of DHS personnel that was scheduled for and took place in Chantilly, Virginia, on Saturday, 5 May 2012.  He hoped to provide me with more information to supplement that which he already given. Although he was not personally present, his source was. While he would not say who was at the meeting on Saturday or give its precise location, he said that the many of the names would be recognizable. He spoke to his source late Saturday night.
I contacted him on his cellular phone early Sunday morning to get the promised update.
“Geez, nice job on getting the word out about what’s really going on at DHS and in this administration,” were the first words out of his mouth, followed by “thanks a lot.” I asked him why he would be thanking me. “I just wanna’ tell you that I’m going to have to hire someone to start my car, and I’m surely not going for any rides in small planes in the immediate future,” he said with a bit of nervous laughter. “I hope no one finds out who I am or it’s going to be more than my pension I’ll have to worry about.”
“I can tell you word is getting out that people are starting to wake up, which is causing a lot of ‘pissed off brass.’  I can’t tell if they are more desperate or upset about the exposure, but the tone is starting to become a lot more tense. I hope that we’re having something to do with that,” he added.
With that, he provided me with additional information to supplement that which he already given me on 25 April. For clarity purposes, I have combined the information together from both contacts. The following information includes the updated information provided to me Sunday morning.

Obama the revolutionary

Metaphorically speaking, there’s a revolution going on in the U.S., propped up by three legs. Economic chaos, chaos through racial division, and chaos through class division, all joined by one core element: Barack Hussein Obama and his stable of unelected czars. Obama is using the lessons learned in 1968 as the template for 2012, and many of those who were active in the late 1960s are now calling the shots for 2012.
“The Obama administration and many of the un-elected ‘czars,’ either directly or indirectly, are engaged in covert activities with the occupy movement, various labor protests, and other subversive activities inside the U.S.,” stated my source. Using untracked campaign funds, they are paying people to infiltrate the various movements to cause physical destruction of property and disrupt commerce. That began last year, but has increased ten-fold already this year,” stated this source. He added that they are using some lower level DHS agents to make the payments under the context of tracking subversives, but they are the unwitting subversives. “It’s like Fast & Furious” but in the social realm,” he added.
“Obama is using some high profile people as pawns to foment the revolution. I heard several times through very credible sources that [Louis] Farrakhan is on the CIA payroll. Other have been named as well, but I’m not prepared to identify them yet. Farrakhan is to coordinate the Blacks and the Muslims to prepare for riots this summer, using any means necessary.”
“Mentioned at the meeting Saturday were methods to use pawns to simulate the rioting in the Arab Spring countries, but to the benefit of this administration. A controlled chaos thing,” stated my source. They envision rioting starting in the urban areas first, such as New York and other major cities, followed by a disruption of business and commerce. This will allow the DHS to mobilize their various teams into the streets of America without objection of the people,” stated my source.
“They want to restrict travel, if not through high energy prices, then by checkpoints and curfews mandated by rioting and unrest. They understand we are the most well-armed nation in the world, yet they are aware of our vulnerabilities and intend to fully exploit them,” he added. The whole purpose is to keep Obama in office for another term, no matter how unpopular he is, as he is not finished changing our country from a Constitutional Republic. This is the run-up to the 2012 elections, or perhaps causing enough chaos to delay them - indefinitely.”
One statement that rattled me more than anything was that a great number of those already in power, whether in appointed or elected positions, actually want to see Obama stay in power, according to this source. “This is what we’ve been working toward and we’re closer now than we’ve ever been. If we lose now, we might not have another chance.”
This chilling common goal also explains the lack of interest in the Constitutional legitimacy of Obama. It is common knowledge that Obama is not an American, and neither is his agenda. Of course, criticism of his bona-fides feeds into the cries of racism, despite the massive fraud perpetrated on the American people. Party lines are meaningless when the common objective is the revolutionary overtaking of America.

Obama, the professor of Keynesian economics

“The Obama administration is working closely with Bernanke, Geithner and others not to save our economy, but to outright destroy it. He is not the first or only one to try this, but the most effective and most vetted for that purpose. Do you actually think that the fact that Timothy Geithner’s father worked with Obama’s mother in Indonesia was coincidental,” stated my source rhetorically. “What we’re seeing now is the fourth quarter of a game that started long ago, which also currently involves the Clintons. Obama would not be where he is if it were not for the Clintons, and to a lesser extent, Bush, but that’s for other reasons.  Don’t be fooled, the Clintons never left or lost power,” he added.
“There are file drawers full of papers, heavily guarded papers at the ‘TEC building’  so I can only imagine what’s in them, about international financial dealings going back decades. I do know, or at least I was told, that they involve organizations that are the so-called conspiracy fringe groups, such as the Bilderberg group, the Trilateral Commission, and people including George Soros, Henry Kissinger, and current leaders of big industry. Some are fossils. They’ve been around a long time. Others are up-and-coming. They’ve got one thing in common, though, and that is to put in place a global system of governance, including a common currency. Economics is a huge part of this revolution, and they want to replace the dollar, to see it collapse. They expect, that is, they are working toward this very goal, and when this happens, it will cause chaos like never seen before in the history of this country.”
“Why do you think Jon Corzine is not only walking around, but heavily involved in Obama fundraising? They know it’s just a matter of time that Europe will implode economically, and when it does, start counting the days before we see massive hyperinflation and the ultimate collapse of the U.S. dollar,” stated this insider.  “What will it look like in the streets of America when the general population realizes that there is no money? That’s right, chaos.”
