Obama heads back to NH on Saturday ...

NEW HAMPSHIRE
"Live Free or Die" is the official motto of the U.S. state of New Hampshire, adopted by the state in 1945.[1] It is possibly the best-known of all state mottos, partly because it speaks to an assertive independence historically found inAmerican political philosophy and partly because of its contrast to the milder sentiments found in other state mottos.
The phrase comes from a toast written by General John Stark on July 31, 1809. Poor health forced Stark, New Hampshire's most famous soldier of the American Revolutionary War, to decline an invitation to an anniversary reunion of the Battle of Bennington. Instead, he sent his toast by letter:
Live free or die: Death is not the worst of evils.
The motto was enacted at the same time as the state emblem, on which it appears.

New Hampshire Firsts

• In 1776 New Hampshire became the first state to declare its independence from England.
• NH was the destination of Paul Revere’s first ride to warn local colonists that the British were sailing to Portsmouth to take the gun powder from Fort William and Mary.
• Hampshire was the ninth and key state to ratify the Constitution on June 21, 1788, thereby creating the United States of America.
• The first summer resort in America was Wolfeboro.
• The first American in space, Alan Shepard, was born in Derry, New Hampshire. His historic flight was made in 1961.
• The first private citizen passenger in the history of space flight was Christa McAuliffe, a New Hampshire school teacher.
• In 1793, Samuel Morey, of Orford, invented the internal combustion engine and built the first steamship in the U.S.
• The first-in-the-nation Presidential primary election is held in The Granite State every four years. Until the 1992 elections, no candidate had ever won the presidency without first winning in New Hampshire.

New Hampshire is not one of the larger states, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in beauty and depends largely on its year-round tourism.  Its lakes and mountains are huge attractions throughout the seasons: swimming and camping, hiking during the summer months; ice fishing and skiing in winter; hunting and fishing - outdoor activities are as bountiful as the very sights and sounds of nature.  And one thing I enjoy seeing throughout my state are the flags flying high and proudly on both businesses and family homes.  We are proud of our military and proud to be American.

This morning our local media announced that President Obama plans to revisit our state:

President Barack Obama is coming back to New Hampshire.
A campaign official says Obama will be in the state Saturday. It will be his third trip to New Hampshire this year.
Vice President Joe Biden and first lady Michelle Obama also have been frequent visitors, underscoring the state's status as a battleground state.
New Hampshire is known as one of the "battleground" states.  It is a "Democratic" state, but I believe if you took a poll today and compared it with 2008, you would find that there is a decline in the numbers supporting the Democratic Party/Obama.

State of the States Political Party Advantage Map, 2010

Why?  Because New Hampshire citizens do not lack common sense.  We are struggling with the same concerns most Americans struggle with and the list is too lengthy to mention here, but almost every American understands that if Obama is allowed FOUR more years, our country will never be able to return to the United States we once knew and loved - period!

If I had an opportunity to say one thing to Obama during his visit on Saturday, I think I would just quote our State's motto and let me be the first to say to Obama: "Americans prefer to "Live free or die".  You haven't been able to "get right" so please Go home."

A Short History of Results of US Aid to Islamists

Good news: The US intends to give Egypt more aid to fight Sinai terror. Bad news: History shows the guns are used against the West.

The apparently good news that the United States intends to give the Muslim Brotherhood government in Egypt more aid to fight Sinai terror is a bad sign, based on a history ofAmerican aid to Islamists, according to former senior IDF officer and Algamor Terror Victim chairman Meir Indor.
“The agreements with Islamist elements are not stabile, and generally speaking, the forces that are trained by the Americans in Islamic countries eventually turn their guns against the United States and the West, including acts of terror and war crimes,” he wrote to his e-mail readers Monday.
The CIA helped none other than Osama bin Laden, who was taught guerilla warfare by Americans in the war against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan in 1987. The United States gave bin Laden 60,000 tons of weapons, according to Indor.
After the Soviets left, bin Laden’s terrorist organization turned its guns against the Americans and their allies in a world-wide wave of terror, including the 9/11 attacks on the Twin Trade Towers in New York and the Pentagon near Washington.
Indor wrote, “Pakistani forces thought to be relatively loyal carried out terror in India, and it is not clear even today if they provided cover for bin Laden during his residence in the country."
He sarcastically said, “The Americans learned one lesson, albeit belatedly, and at least did not ask their ally [Pakistan] to help them eliminate bin Laden” last year.
Iran is next on Indoor’s list.
The United States, with the cooperation of Israel, helped Iran build a powerful army, which now threatens the entire world with the threat to build a nuclear weapon.
Indor then lists Turkey as another Western ally that has turned around and become an anti-Western Islamic regime, where he said the United States is involved “up to its neck” by having assisted Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan before Islamists began to dominate the government.
“The same thing happened in Gaza,” continues Indor. “The security forces and police were trained with help from America and its European friends and now they serve as Hamas terrorists.”
Indor concludes with a warning against U.S. aid to Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood government to fight terror n the Sinai, bordering Israel.
“The Islamic takeover of the Egyptian army is a threat, and the takeover by [Mohammed] Morsi and his leaders of Egypt’s army should worry the United States as well as Israel. Their emissaries already are sitting at the southern entrance to Israel, and the Egyptian army is parked above the huge underground tunnel system that is a bridge for the flow of forces to the Sinai."
The United States is ignoring a series of questions about the Egyptian army, Indor states. He wrote, “How did it happen that the Egyptian army, trained by Americans and equipped with the best of American methods, could not control the Sinai?
“Why did they turn a blind eye to global jihad terrorists that infiltrated from Gaza to the Sinai over a long period of time, even during the Mubarak regime?
“Isn’t this reminiscent of the behavior of Egypt during the terror of the 50s and 60s that enabled   ‘Fedayeen‘ attacks against Israel?”
Indor suggests that instead of aiding Egypt, the United States should deny Cairo’s requests for military help and to place more troops so close to the Israeli border.
“Otherwise,” he warns, “in the next confrontation, Israel will find itself facing a modern Islamic army.”

Tears Don't Protect Against Murder - by Sultan Knish

Sunday, August 12, 2012

After serving a few years in prison for his role in the Munich Massacre, Willi Pohl moved to Beirut. The brief sentence was a slap in the wrist, but Pohl had still served more time in prison than the Muslim gunmen who had murdered eleven Israeli athletes and coaches during the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. Mohammed Safady and the Al-Gashey cousins were released after a few months by the German authorities. They went back to Lebanon and so did he.

A decade after the attack, Willi Pohl had begun making a name for himself as a crime novelist. His first novel, written as Willi Woss, was Tränen Schützen Nicht vor Mord or Tears Do Not Protect Against Murder.

While Pohl was penning crime novels, Israeli operatives had already absorbed the lessons of his first title. Tears, whether in 1939 or 1972, had not done anything to prevent the murder of Jews. Bullets were another matter.

The head of Black September in Rome was the first to die, followed by a string of PLO leaders across Europe. Those attacks were followed by raids on the mansions and apartments of top Fatah officials in the same city where Pohl had found temporary refuge. By the time his first book was published,  hundreds of PLO terrorists and many of its top officials were dead.

Western law enforcement had failed to hold responsible even the actual perpetrators of the Munich Massacre, never mind the representatives of the PLO who openly mingled with red radicals in Europe's capitals. Israeli operatives did what the German judicial system had failed to do, putting down Safady and one of the Al-Gasheys, while the other one hid out as a frightened guest of Colonel Gaddafi in Libya.

The Israeli raid on the PLO terrorists in Beirut's Muslim Quarter missed one important target. Arafat. And so, on another September day, some 19 years later, September 13, 1993, Israeli Prime Minister Rabin shook hands with Arafat and proclaimed, "Enough of blood and tears! Enough!" But the blood and tears had only begun, as a PLO on its last legs was revived by that handshake and built its terrorist infrastructure inside Israel's borders.

By 1993, the year of the infamous Rose Garden handshake, 45 Israelis had been killed and 34 injured in Muslim terrorist attacks. A year after the handshake, the toll stood at 109 Israelis dead and 456 wounded. By 2002, the year that Israel's patience finally broke and Sharon sent forces storming into Arafat's compound, the numbers for that year were a horrifying 451 dead and 2,348 wounded.

Today, some 40 years after that September in Munich and 19 years after the even worse tragedy of that September in Washington D.C., with over 1,500 dead since that fatal handshake, there have been rivers of blood and tears. And a shortage of bullets.

PLO officials these days are more likely to die of morbid obesity or, like Arafat, of AIDS, than of Israeli raids. They are nearly as likely to kill each other, like Arafat's cousin, Moussa Arafat, the former head of the Palestinian Authority's terrorist forces, who was dragged out of his home and shot by his own people. The murder of Mohammed Abu Shaaban, killed a week after the handshake, by his own people, was the first of a long string of Fatah on Fatah violence that is a far more likely cause of death for top terrorists than the jet planes and tanks of the hated Zionist regime.

Ehud Barak and Yoni Netanyahu took part in the Beirut raids that devastated the PLO leadership and nearly killed Arafat. Today, Barak serves as Defense Minister and Netanyahu's brother as the Prime Minister of the State of Israel. Rather than fight terrorism, their government made the Shalit deal which freed over a 1,000 terrorists in exchange for a captured Israeli soldier. Afterward, Barak said that a "life-loving country" cannot afford to keep exchanging 1,000 terrorists for a soldier.

And yet the Shalit deal was reasonable compared to the Peace Process. While Israel has given up a great many lives and a great deal of land, it has yet to receive peace. But in the Shalit deal, it actually did get Gilad Shalit back. If a "life-loving" country cannot afford to keep exchanging one soldier for  1,000 terrorists, then how can it afford to keep exchanging land and lives for the false promise of peace?

Terrorists are a renewable resource. Arrest them, plant them in jail, let them study for advanced degrees and post status updates to Facebook while collecting salaries from the Palestinian Authority, funded by the United States and Europe, then trade them for a soldier. Then when they've gone back to their old habits, arrest them and trade them again. But doing that with territory is much harder. Let Israel try offering Ramallah a second time in exchange for peace and see what kind of howls rise out of the State Department in Washington D.C. and the Foreign Office in London.

The terrorists can offer Israel peace in exchange for Jerusalem, even though they already offered it in exchange for Ramallah, but Israel isn't allowed to meet farce with farce by seizing Ramallah and then offering it back in exchange for peace.

Instead, Israel keeps putting new lands on the table, which Washington and London proclaim to be insufficient because something is too low a price to pay for nothing. Peace is a priceless commodity. while half of Israel's capital is a negotiable commodity. But after two decades of negotiations, Israel is running out of things to negotiate with.

The old joke about the Six-Day-War was that the Egyptians had followed the Soviet battle plan from World War II: pull back and wait for winter. The joke has now turned around. Since the Nineties, the Israelis have been following the American battle plan from Vietnam: sign a worthless peace accord, pull out and then ignore what happens afterward. Just as Egypt doesn't have Russian winters, Israel doesn't have a 6,000 mile distance from its last war.

The rivers of tears keep flowing and, while Israeli spokesmen can list in detail every single casualty, tears don't protect against murder. Neither do peace treaties. No amount of tears stopped the murder of Six Million Jews, convinced the British Foreign Ministry to allow Jews fleeing the Nazis into Israel or the State Department to allow them into the United States. The St. Louis and the Struma are both reminders of the futility of tears.

No amount of tears has convinced the International Olympic Committee to respond decently to the Munich Massacre. And no amount of tears from the tens of thousands mutilated, tortured, crippled, wounded, orphaned and widowed by the PLO in all its front groups, splinter groups and incarnations, including its current incarnation as a phony government, has been enough to stop American and European governments from supporting, arming and funding the terrorists.

Tears don't protect against murder. They don't stop killers from killing. They don't prevent the authorities from looking the other way when the killings happen because there is something in it for them. They don't bring the terrorists to justice. They don't even ensure that the truth will be told, rather than the lie that rationalizes the crimes.

Tears did not stop the operation of a single gas chamber. They did not save the life of a single Jewish refugee. They did not stop a single dollar from going to the PLO or Fatah or Black September or the Palestinian Authority or any of the other masks that the gang of Soviet-trained killers wore. They will not stop Iran from developing and detonating a nuclear weapon over Tel Aviv. They will not stop Israel from being carved up by terrorists whose demands are backed up by the diplomatic capital of every nation that bows its head in the direction of Mecca, Medina and Riyadh, and the old men who control the oil wells and the mosques.

In 1988, Willi Pohl published another book, Das Gesetz des Dschungels or The Law of the Jungle. That same year, PLO terrorists carried out the "Mother's Bus Attack" taking the passengers of a bus, filled with women on board, hostage and demanding the release of all imprisoned terrorists. The terrorists killed two hostages and Israeli Special Forces moved in, killing the terrorists and saving the lives of all but one hostage.

In response, Israeli commandos stormed Tunis, killing Abu Jihad, a former Muslim Brotherhood member and the number two Fatah leader after Arafat . The United Nations Security Council met and passed Resolution 611, noting with concern the "loss of human life", particularly that of Abu Jihad, and vigorously condemned the "act of aggression", Not a single member of the Security Council voted against it. The United States abstained.

Not one single resolution was passed that year or the year afterward or the year after that condemning a terrorist attack against Israel or criticizing any of the countries that trained, armed and harbored the terrorists. Instead there were numerous resolutions condemning Israel for expelling and deporting terrorists. The closest thing to a resolution critical of terrorism was Resolution 579 in response to the Achille Lauro hijacking, carried out by men loyal to Mahmoud Abbas, the current President of the Palestinian Authority, who also provided the funding for the Munich Massacre. Resolution 579 did not mention the Achille Lauro, Leon Klinghoffer or Palestinian Arab terrorists. Instead it condemned "hostage-taking" in general.

In 1972, the year of the Munich Massacre, there were three Security Council resolutions condemning Israel. Not a single one condemning the massacre of Olympic athletes at an international event. Not a single one condemning the countries which armed, trained, harbored and controlled the terrorists. The countries that had refused that their flags be lowered in response to the massacre.

This was the law of the jungle disguised as international law. Against the law of the jungle, tears are futile. Jungle law cannot be debated away, it cannot be disproven, it cannot be defeated with Hasbara, it cannot be subdued with the speechifying of an Abba Eban or a Benjamin Netanyahu. It cannot be moralized into decency or signed away with peace treaties. It can only be met with resistance.

Tears don't protect against murder. Bullets do.

Paul Ryan on Israel

THE POLITICAL GUIDE

Official Website Statements

Israel
America has no better friend in the Middle East than the nation of Israel. Not only is Israel the region’s only fully functioning democracy, with a government based on popular consent and the rule of law, but it is also a valuable ally against Islamic extremism and terrorism. Our shared democratic values and national interests are supported by maintaining a close friendship with Israel. Americans also have a strong interest in Israel achieving a lasting peace with its neighbors – including the Palestinians.
Reasonable people – including those who live in the Middle East – differ about how the conflict between Israel and Palestine can be resolved. However, I believe at least one thing is clear: we cannot advocate for a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that jeopardizes Israel’s safety or legitimizes terrorism. Hamas, which is one of the two major Palestinian political factions, is an Islamist terrorist group whose charter calls for Israel’s destruction, refuses to recognize Israel’s existence, and calls Osama Bin Laden a “martyr.”
While I do not have a role in the diplomatic discussions over the resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, America should not pressure Israel to agree to a peace deal that is unlikely to result in peace and security. Real peace will require Palestinians to recognize that Israel has a right to exist, even as it will require two states for the two peoples. Introduced by House Majority Leader Eric Cantor on May 13, 2011, H. Res. 268 reaffirms the United States’ commitment to a negotiated settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through direct negotiations. I co-sponsored this legislation, and it passed the House on July 7, 2011 by a vote of 407-13. I was also a cosponsor of H.R. 4133, the United States-Israel Enhanced Security Cooperation Act, also introduced by Majority Leader Eric Cantor, which passed the House on May 9, 2012 by a vote of 411-2. H.R. 4133 states that it is United States policy to reaffirm the commitment to Israel’s security as a state, provide Israel with the military capabilities to defend itself, expand military and civilian cooperation, assist in a negotiated settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and encourage Israel’s neighbors to recognize its right to exist.

The Most Divisive Campaign in American History - By Sultan Knish

Saturday, August 11, 2012

In 1980, when President Reagan asked Americans, "Are you better off now than you were four years ago", it was still possible to campaign on a theme as simple as the job performance of the other guy. But now, 32 years later, the campaign hinges on a much more fundamental split among the voting population.

Romney appeals to voters who are dissatisfied with the last four years. Obama appeals to voters who are dissatisfied with America.

This basic gap was obscured in the 2008 campaign by the window trappings of inspiration. Among all the plastic pillars and stolen quotes from poets who stole them from sermons, it was harder to see that the underlying theme of the campaign was dissatisfaction with America. But in 2012, Obama can no longer run as a reformer or an optimist.

The coalition that he committed to last year is a coalition of those who are unhappy with America, not in the last four years, but in the last two-hundred years. Its core is composed of groups that fear democracy and distrust the will of the people. There is no optimism here, but a deeply rooted pessimism about human nature and the country as a whole. It is the Democratic Party's coalition against democracy.

After 2010, the numbers were crunched, and it was clear that Obama and the Democrats could not win a mainstream campaign. Instead, they targeted narrow groups, stirred up conflicts over issues aimed at that group, whether it was union pensions, racism or birth control. There was no more pretense of a national election, only a frenzied rush to polarize as many groups as possible and join them together into an acrimonious coalition, not so much for anything, as against Republicans.

There isn't any inspiration here. Just paranoia over everything from gay marriage to abortion to racial profiling to illegal immigration. A dozen illegal benefits being handed out with the explicit threat that they will be lost if Romney wins. A dozen mini-civil wars being stirred up to divide Americans and set them at each other's throats for the benefit of the Obama campaign.

From Occupy Wall Street to Wisconsin, from Trayvon Martin to Chick-fil-A, the goal of these manufactured conflicts has been to divide and conquer the electorate by emphasizing group rights over individual economic welfare.

Obama can't win on the economy. He can't win on foreign policy. He can't win on any aspect of his administration. All he can do is stir up violence and then promise to heal the country in his second term while winking to all the representatives of the grievance groups. It's not a new game, but the Democratic Party has never played it quite this baldly in a national election. And if it succeeds, then national politics will have finally been reduced to the level of a Chicago election.

We were expected to believe that the typical Obama voter in 2008 was hoping for a better country, but in 2012 there is no more hope, only hate and fear. The typical Obama voter is not acting as an American, but as a representative of an entitled group looking to secure and expand those entitlements at the expense and the detriment of the country at large.

To vote for Obama after years of grotesque economic mismanagement that has no precedent in history, that exceeds the worst actions of Andrew Jackson or Ulysses S. Grant, is not the instinct of an American, but a selfish greedy looter scrambling to grab a few dinner rolls off the tray while the ship is going down. There is no policy justification for voting for a man with the worst economic and foreign policy record in the country's history. There is no American justification for voting for him. Only the UnAmerican motivation of carving up a dying country into group fiefdoms privileging identity politics over the common good.

This is an UnAmerican campaign. It is an Anti-American campaign. It is a campaign by those who hate and fear what America was and who resent having to care about anyone outside their own group. Its group jingoism, its dog whistles and special privileges are repulsive and cynical, treating the people of a great nation like a warren of rats eager to sell each other out for a prize from the Cracker Jack box of identity politics entitlements.

There is not a single Obama voter anywhere in the land who believes that another four years of him will make this country better. Not a single one from coast to coast. No, what they believe is that he will make the country a worse place for those people that they hate. That he will have four more years to sink their ideas deeper in the earth, regardless of how many families go hungry and how many fathers kill themselves because they can no longer take care of their families. What they believe is that Obama will grant their group more special privileges and the rest of the country can go to hell.

In his DNC keynote address in 2004, Obama said, "There is no Black America or White America or Latino America or Asian America, there is just the United States of America." And now he has completely disavowed it. He isn't campaigning to lead the United States of America, instead he is running for the presidency of a dozen little Americas, Trayvon Martin America, Abortion America, Illegal Alien America, Sharia America, Gay Marriage America, Starbucks America and any others you can think of. And if he can collect enough of these little Americas together, then he may get the privilege of running the United States of America into the ground for another four years.

Obama has never been the President of the United States of America. He has been the president of Washington D.C., of Wall Street and of Solyndra. He has been the President of Green America and of Chicago. He has been the President of Warren Buffett, George Soros, Bill Gates, Penny Pritzker and James Crown. He is the President of George Clooney, Harvey Weinstein and Anne Hathaway. And now, facing disaster, he still isn't running to be President of a country, but of a dozen little countries with money from freshly bailed out Green America and Wall Street, not to mention Hollywood.

The Obama campaign is not accidentally divisive. It did not stumble into divisiveness. It is not even divisive as a byproduct of its real aims. Divisiveness is its aim. Divisiveness is the only way that a divisive administration can hold on to power. The anger and the violence are not an accident, they are the whole point. Set one group against another, feed the hate, massage the grievances and very soon there is no longer a nation but a handful of quarreling groups being roped into a mutual alliance to reelect their lord protector whose appeal is that of the outsider becoming the insider.

Bain is a metaphor whose details don't truly matter. The target audience for that swill doesn't really care where Romney was when a steel plant was shut down. It doesn't care that like so many private equity bigwigs, the man who actually was in charge is one of Obama's bundlers. This isn't about truth, it's about menace. The Bain message is that Romney is a man who takes things away. That is the  image that the UnAmerican alliance is meant to take away. The ominous sense that Obama's era of giving them things is about to come to a close and Romney's era of taking away things will begin.

It doesn't take much prompting for the UnAmericans to come to this conclusion. Thieves are always looking over their shoulders. They always expect to have their ill-gotten gains taken away from them. And that is Obama's true achievement. Like Tammany Hall, he has corrupted a massive section of the population and made it complicit in his criminality. What the old political machines did to cities or small groups of vested interests, the Zero has done to tens of millions, if not a hundred million people, who want him in power not because they think he's the best man for the job, but because he's their crook. The middle man for a crime ring that begins with him and ends with them.

The true insidious evil of the man is that he is the face of a machine of power and privilege that turns Americans into UnAmericans, that corrupts and degrades every ideal and principle, suborns every office and picks every pocket, while wrapping that thievery in the flag and every bit of history that it can filch. The Hussein Way is the clearest expression of the rot at the heart of the Democratic Party, the marriage of leftist agitation and powermongering with the old urban political machines for a level of abuse usually seen only in banana republics.

The abomination in Washington is a welfare-state technocracy that mixes crony capitalism with radical social policy. It steals from everyone and gives back to some. It plays the game of divide and conquer with the panache of marketing executives knowing that the worse the economy is, the more likely everyone is to look in everyone else's mouth. Its worst aspect is its insistence on cloaking its cynicism as righteousness, wrapping every ugly means in the glorious flag of the ends when the truth is that its means are its ends.

Divide and conquer isn't just a means to the greater end of giving Zero Hussein another four years. And perhaps another four years after that. It's also the end. Every tyrant from Joseph Stalin to Saddam Hussein knew that a divided people are easier to rule. The more you divide them, the less likely they are to give you any trouble when you're raiding their last pennies to pay for the latest Green gimmick that your billionaire backers have thrown up all over Wall Street.

Obama is the ultimate Post-American figure passing himself off as the embodiment of all that is truly American. But the UnAmericans got the real message in 2008 and in 2012 there is no other message. There is no more hope and faith, and the ones who have been waiting for are the UnAmericans who think that they are about to come into their own, when they are little more than pawns being used to rob and destroy a great nation.

This is the Post-American, Anti-American and UnAmerican campaign to divide up, carve up and toss aside the laws and traditions of the United States and replace them with the power of arrogance. It is the last stand of a beleaguered nation facing barbarians inside its gate. Every previous election was a contest between two American candidates who wanted to preside over the United States.

This is an election contest between the United States and an emerging Post-American order. That entity will be an American EU run by unelected bureaucrats, governed by politically correct technocrats and upheld by corrupt financial pirates disguising the collective bankruptcy with numbers games so elaborate that they make every billion-dollar con game and pyramid scheme that has come before seem as simple as child's play.

The entity is already here. Its czars are running things in D.C., and its judges are dismantling both constitutional government and democratic elections. It creates a crisis and then makes sure that it doesn't go to waste. It has excellent design skills and terrible planning skills. It has all the money in the world and none at all. It is the Post-American America, and 2012 is its big referendum. The one that will decide whether this Post-American America, this horrid graft of E.U. governance and Mussolini economics, Soviet propaganda and FDR volunteerism, Tammany populist criminality and U.N. foreign policy will be permitted to devour the United States of America.

Obama cannot win an American election. But he isn't running in an American election. He's running in a Post-American election.

This is from back in 2010 when Obama arranged a dog-and-pony show on the deficit. Paul Ryan absolutely lays waste to him.
Note the befuddled look on Obama’s face. And to think some moron once called Obama the smartest guy in the room.

August 12, 2012: A Misty Morning in New Hampshire

For years, summer vacations were spent in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.  As a "city" girl, raised in a northern town outside Boston, MA, New Hampshire's lakes and mountains were always a welcome sight.  To wake up mornings, without the sounds of trains, planes and automobiles, and hear the sounds of - oh, wait, there were no sounds - just silence, except for a lonely bird singing outside my window, or the sounds of someone firing up a motor boat to spend the day on the lake.  Having breakfast at the picnic table outside our rented cabin was as if nature had wrapped a blanket around me.  This, for me, was the best type of "renewal" for my mind and soul.

I never tire of swimming in the lakes, or sitting by a campfire with family.  It was a time when we shared stories and laughter and with each summer vacation, pleasant memories were born to share at future campfires, while we roasted marshmallows and watched the grandchildren play.

There was one campsite my oldest son brought his family for years.  It wasn't in the mountain region; much closer to the beaches along the shoreline of New Hampshire.  However, the new owners of that campsite did not keep up with the "upkeep" of the site and slowly, it became quite run down.  And so, this year, my son found a beautiful camp resort in Massachusetts.

I can't begin to explain all the amenities included, but the cabins are well-equipped; the lake is clear for swimmers, while boaters can fish to their heart's delight!  A huge swimming pool has a fountain in the middle of the pool and the children love swimming under it; it has all the comforts of home and yet, you still have the feeling of contentment that comes from spending a few days or week away from home.

It's a misty morning here in New Hampshire and our summer is quickly coming to a close.  News of yesterday's choice of Paul Ryan for VP, earthquakes in Iran, fires burning near Jerusalem (which appear to be another form of terrorism), are enough to keep the headlines active and bloggers busy.  But I prefer to share some photos this morning of the family enjoying their summer vacation in July and a place where I will be spending the last week in August (yes, I am taking the last week of August to be with family at our new and favorite spot in Massachusetts) ...
Our cabin:

There is an island in the middle of the lake
Youngest grandson - enjoying the beach

Two grandsons, Joshua and Blade/in boat
"Brothers" ..enjoying a quiet moment on the dock
Oldest son, Mark

Two sons, Mark and Todd, with grandson Blade
Mark's wife, Jeannette - catches the largest bass!

Entrance to the camp

And that, folks, is the end of this summer's family journal - at one of New England's camp resorts (unless I add more photos after my August vacation).

America is beautiful!  Our troops fight to allow each of us the opportunity to live in the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.  Our liberties are precious and our Founding Father's did "build that" under the U.S. Constitution.

We work for our families and yes, we did "build that" when it comes to raising our children, so that the next generation can enjoy the same freedoms we enjoyed growing up.  For most of us, our lives evolve around family.

When we hear anyone forming un-American policies that would destroy our way of life and that of all Americans, we have a duty and a right to prevent this from happening.  And, when you read the blogs (such as this one) presenting facts and issues that concern every American - issues that go against everything "American",  we must reject this administration's apologies to the Islamic world.  Americans do not apologize for protecting its freedoms.  What has worked for the past 200 years will continue to work, even when there are times (like now) when we must identify our enemies, protect our borders, and stop the insanity of Islam infiltrators within our halls of Congress, federal agencies, and the White House.

Governor Romney understands the difficulties Americans face.  His VP Paul Ryan appreciates the need to balance the budget and fix our economy, and also understands the dangers we face against Iran.  These two men are not bowing to Saudi Kings.  I have no plans to post negative ads from this administration, with their hopes of causing confusing and doubt in the minds of those who may be sitting on the fence.

Look at your family and loved ones and ask, "Can I (and my children) continue to live the American way of life, if this administration races down the same path they have led America down these past 4 years?"   I have shared a few photos of my family to demonstrate what and who is important in my life.  This is the reason why I fight for a better tomorrow for all Americans.

New England has 4 seasons and its now past the season for returning America to its rightful place as a shinning light for the "FREE" world.

Enjoy today, watching out for our tomorrows'
